It's simply where the Fayth decided to put him after they wanted to bring him back. No other major reason in the story that points towards him being born again in the water. If you wanted to get symbolic/interpretative of the plot, then it would make sense.
(concept of water, blah blah blah, etc., ohh, Besaid is his home now, that kind of stuff)
Actually, the guy above doesn't even make sense.
Play FFX and you'll know:tonberry:
How does it not make sense? There's nearly nothing in the game that points as to why Tidus should be brought back in the waters of Besaid. If anything, he would've been revived, and brought back on the Farplane to start. Nor does anything said in FFX support this either.Quote:

Your words TRY to be wise, but I can see right through you.
Anyway, my statement still stands:
Play FFX and you'll understand, don't look deep into things too much and take it as it is :tonberry:
I offer only wisdom to those who actually play old school FF. Unfortunately, playing them will make you wiser than you could possibly imagine.Quote:

If you took at for only skin deep, then there's nothing to support your claims.
WoW! I never heard something like that
"Playing oldschool FFs will make you wiser"
Man, you're a little too obssesed.
C'mon man, I don't think people can be so stupid that they don't understand why Tidus came out of the water :irked:
use symbolism, use whater you call it, play FFX and you'll see, damn. Sheesh what's so hard 'bout that?:eyebrow:
Tidus didn't fade in Besaid and telling someone to Play FFX isn't going to help. Taverobel is the most accurate here, at least there is someone who tries to say theories instead of saying "play FFX", what was the the point in the making of the thread if people aren't going to answer your question and just say "play FF%". There aint an actual point to Tidus being in the water but my question is, "how did they know he would come there?"
That nothing in the game supports it. What's so hard to understand about that?Quote:

And do you think the Celcius just "happened" to swing by Besaid at the exact moment that he wakes up?
DeathKnight - please stop picking fights. What you're doing is personally attacking someone, and we don't allow that here.
I understand why playing FF X would help.
Tidus woke up in Besaid in the begining of the game.
Also, Yuna was already heading to Besaid in the first place. They put him there so Yuna would see him.
unless youve not played FFX before this i can hardly see how you cannot understand a simple game with pretty much no decent plot or mysteries or anything like that. you must have skipped a lot of text or just not listened.
boys from the dwarf: If you can't make a post that will help, then why are you posting just to critisize?
In FFX, Tidus initial weapon is Brotherhood which is water-base. There's also a picture with Tidus at the sea holding Brotherhood, Besaid is the first place to be in the airship-Celcius, and it's Yuna hometown. Tidus even start his merry way with other 4 character here. I have to agree with DeathKnight here.
This was the answer.Quote:

I found this funny when he said Tavrobel didnt make sense when he made it simple as apple pie.Quote:

thanks you have now completed making me completely confuzzled
I don't see how you can know what the hell Yuna keeps talking about in the game if you haven't played X. With all of the pronouns it would be so confusing...
i was trying to give advice. its important to listen to the storyline and not to skip text and its also a good idea to play the first game before the second one. thats pretty much what my post said.Quote:

That's what I think.
Miranda
i think he was in the farplaina and thenthe little faith dude(bahamut?) brought him back to thank yuna. Thats my take. its really confuzzling though
I go with what Forever Fantasy pus cus he was a bilz player he could brezr under water, a bliz player + sleeping for two years = what happens at the end of FFX-2. How that?
Blitzball players don't breath underwater, they can just hold their breath for a very very long time, and hold it against the strain of being knocked around.Quote:

What people mean when they say "Play FFX" is that when you finish the game after the credits you see Tidus swimming up through the water. This just-so-happens to be a glimpse as to his return 2 years later.
Im also gonna go with Eiko Guy's guess that Yuna was "going home" so thats why he appeared in that part of the water - so they could walk together like the fayth said.
hey ive played and finished ffx2 twice and i dnt understand what yo0h mean...wasnt the end where gippal, nooj and baralai make that speech and yuna sez "this is my story.. i'll make it a good 1" ... ?Quote:

I have to aggree with Deathknight here( dude we rock ;) )!!! if you play ff-x you will se clearly why he is underwater :)
It makes perfect sense for him to be underwater ( water i used symbolically throughout x) but you can plainly see where the logic is if you play x, sin took him to zanarkand in water (actually workd out really well for him, he met yuna), he plays blitz, jecht played blitz (the only time tidus was kind of proud of his father), you see him underwater at the end of x when he "dies". water is his calm!

:D Any questions?
yeah, i did press x wen she was in the far plane and all i heard was another whistle and a holographic like tidus put his arms around her and...do yo0h need 100% to see it?
Nope, but there are pre-requisits.
Lets say there are 3 endings, normal, good and perfect.
What you saw was the normal ending where he appears and Yuna says he was with her all along and she loves him.
For the good ending you have to talk to Maechen in Chapter 3 in Guadosalam, then at the end of the chapter press X in the farplane repeatedly till Yuna chases the golden figure over a bridge of light. Then in Chapter 5 get an EP Com. in Besaid and also in Luca (do the funny moogle chase). Then and only then will the fayth appear upon pressing X in the farplane after the final battle and give you the option to see 'him' again.
Perfect ending requires you to get 100% aswell as conditions for good ending.
*walks around like a lost child who's wandered to far from her ff6 forums..*
I don't see why we'd need the spoilers but this is my take.
(SPOILER)Remember when Tidus jumped off the thing, all that nonsense, if you watch past the credits after Suteki Da Ne playing and what not, it shows him in a fetal type position in water, Square-enix has most likely done that, so when they made FFX-2, they could bring him back. It's the only thing that showed that there's the possibility of him being alive.
But if you don't get the perfect ending does that mean they drowned him? :p
*walks off looking around for familiar things*
^ good question! haha!
I don't mean to contribute to all the confusion about where Tidus woke up, which we all know.. was Besaid. But, when he first arrived in Spira, the first place he woke up was Baaj Temple. xD But its reasonable why he came back at Besaid, cause thats where his adventure starts with Yuna and co. ( .__.)b
Atleast I'm not the only one thinking about it. xD The games not about getting sphere's, learning about Spira's past, the whole beliefs thing.Quote:

You can't drown in spira otherwise Blitzball would have been a complete failure!! Failure I say!
Fayth: So were we gonna plonk Tidus?
Other Fayth: There!
Fayth: Baaj temple? No that's dumb, lets be nice and put him in besaid!
Other fayth: k!
*sploosh, tidus wakes up, does creepy smile, comes out of water... etc...*
Basically it was a cheap link in to the end of FFX, put bluntly.
cheap? I'd like to see YOU come up with something betterQuote:

Haha. Yeah. I wouldn't mind if they all got burned, but I know how people feel when their games get bashed. Sometimes those fangirl/guys can be crazy. "VIVA LA KEFKA" *wanders back to her side of the forum because she has strayed to far*Quote:
