It's just zero. There's no particular significance to "ro" by itself.
I never understood what Zeromus is suppose to look like. I know he's suppose to be some undead animal but I don't know what animal he's suppose to look like.Quote:

Zemus is the Lunarian villain who FuSoYa and Golbez defeat in the Lunar Subterrain. Zeromus is the manifestation of Zemus' hatred. I don't know why a giant bug would symbolize the ultimate hatred, which is why I prefer the "Mr. Death with a Sword" sprite in FFIV Japanese Eastype. I call Zeromus "zero-wuss" even if he's probably the hardest final boss I've fought in the FF series. :D
