Owned.
Tch Thats not that much.
Ummm. How do you honestly manage to talk that much?
And that's only since January? Holy freakin' crap man. I mean, keep the phone going night and day and make sure it's a call to the space station up in orbit. All I can say is, I'm glad I don't have a large phone bill.
That... that's pretty great. You'd think these things would be checked.
Crazy foreigners, eh? xD
Those 1-900 sex lines'll getcha.
Yeah, that's hard to fathom. I don't know how you could accumlate such a bill. I'm sure it must be a mistake.
And how do they honestly expect someone to pay 218 trillion dollars? That is insane.
That guy could probably pay it if he asked his mother if he could borrow money.
I have a feeling they won't let him call his mother.
Holy cow! That's just......insane.
How could ANYONE be able to play $218 trillion? Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, has about $300 billion.
I'm skeptical.
Actually, it's much more because he has to pay 806,400,000,000,000.01 ringgits, worth more in Malaysia.

That sounds like a bunch of crap. I don't think there's even $218 trillion in the world. Or if there is, it's not by much.
APRIL FOOLS!
$6 Trillion in the US. Who knows how much elsewhere.Quote:

edit: Okay, spiff and I were checking that out at the same time
I win.
MSNBC though? C mon, arn't they credible? It's one thing for a reporter to twist the truth, but to flat out lie? I guess...
That's why you have to get Verizon, roh-hoh-hoh Darth Vader voice!
I'm 99.99999999999999999999999% sure that this is either a cruel joke or a mistake. Even if it is, how in the hell do they expect him to pay that much? That's an asinine assumption.
Even if he was on the phone 24 hours a day that wouldn't be possible! :-/
Does that amount of money actually exist?
I'm .999' % sure it's true. :P
Holy. Freakin'. Crap. That guy must have had like a jazillion brain tumors by now.
I'm.....speechless. Has anyone figured out how he accomplished this?
I think the phone companies are getting a bit greedy.
The amount of people who are gullible or just didn't read the posts in this thread amuse me.
Can you hear me now?

The only way someone would be able to get hit with a bill of that size in that time would be to be paying up something like $25,231,481.48 per second for 100 days (roughly how long this year has been to date). No company would be able to charge that amount. This is so clearly fake (or a mistake) it's insane.
I'd send them a check for $218 trillion from a bunk bank account. That's how you get back at The Man. *sticks it to The Man, and prompts a deluge of Aaron Freed jokes*
Crazyness!
Exactly, by my rough calculations (No calculator, and lazy enough to just round off a little), that's about 1.6666.... billion dollars per minute. No single telephone line could ever be responsible for that kind of phone call. The phone company owes this poor man a month of free long distance, plus court costs and so on, just for the hassle.Quote:

Anyway it's good to see that my phone bill isn't catually THAT big!
lol, glad im not him.
I would blame the bill on a numerical overflow in the phone coprporation's billing software. But unfortunately, 218 trillion doesn't match with 32 bit and 64 bit numerical overflows.
That has got to be an error of epic proportions. That is going to be legally shot down in no time flat.
I'm sure it's a mistake.
For a dead guy, his father sure talks a lot.
maybe the calls in heaven are expensiveQuote:

I have a vibe the phone company made a mistake, I mean, his dad must be talking a lot! >.> Gee, if my parents find out that I have that kind of debt, they would kill me!!! >.<

I like where this is going.
Neel, Avathar and Me seem to be on the same wavelength here.

Hah. How could anyone be so dumb to think this is real? :D
I'm undecided. If it IS real, then he is, as Joker of Full Metal Jacket fame said " in a world of ."
Good for the phone company.
Oddly enough, some randomer who looked at my screen thought that someone was actually HIT (as in, slapped) with this $218 trillion bill. I was like: WTF?
