Just practice and get the hang of controlling events, and what commands do. And make your own sprites, it's extremely easy and it gives a unique feel to the game. If you plan on putting materia in the game though, good luck, I tried and failed miserably.
I know how to use Rm2k3 real good I just want a few people to start a design team with like someone to help make Battle Char sets and stuff
Sure, I have free time, I can make a battle character set.

I have started working on some towns. right now i'm doing Costa Del Sol. Heres an Image of the Cloud Battle Character set I'm using

Make sure you give the creators of these sprites credit. If you're going to do this though, you'll need a sprite artist. It really isn't possible without one.
Oh yeah I will surely give the artists credit. but I need a sprite artist can anyone help me
Your best bet's to ask in a forum that deals with this kind of thing. Not many of us here at EoFF do that.

Hey, I can't do battle sprites, but if you want I can create some tiles for you. The default tiles aren't very nice, and I can make some original ones for you if you like.

Okay, I'll give it a go. I haven't used RPG Maker in a long time, so could you give me some details:
A) What format should the tile sets be in?
B) What's the resolution?
C) They need to be placed in a certain 'grid', right? Could you upload a tile set so I can just use that as a template?
I'd also like to know which, if any, scenes of Final Fantasy VII you want me to make tilesets of. Thanks. It seems like that's the Shinra HQ lab where Red XIII is held, correct?

EDIT: I would like to get some peoples opinion Do you Think It would be better to make a FF:ADVENT CHILDREN game or leave it how it is because I have a lot of stuff for AC and I have the Movie so I could Make it almost just like it Post your Opinions
Leave AC out of this, and just some advice, I'd try making the sprites more similar in terms of style.

I'll try and help you out when I can, but I only have the time to do tile sets. Character pixel-art is very time-consuming...

That would be a fun one to do. But can you tell me how far you are in developing this? Sure, I'll get round to it when I can. I've got another lesson soon, so I can't get much done right now. Too bad that in RPG Maker it's all restricted to tiles. It's hard to make complex settings that way.
I would help but I only do char sets for RMXP (and it takes up soooo much time) so there you have it.

Hey, I stumbled on this site looking for FF7 sprites. I'm thinking of making a FF7 game for the RM2K3 too. I've got Char sets, but am having trouble finding battle animations and Chip sets. I'm also open to any advice and does anyone know were I can find word-for-word script? I also need enemy sprites if anyone can help.
P.S. I'm thinking of doing the original FF7.
It's really hard to make this game in RM2k3 because you need battle sprites and there's very few of them out there compared to other resources. I bet you can find Cloud and maybe one or two other characters, but you won't find all 9. You'll have to make them yourself if you want them in battle. Otherwise, google is your friend. Just search for "rm2k3 resources Final fantasy" or something among those lines. You'll find lots of sites.

Honestly. Why the smurf would you want to make Final Fantasy VII in 2D? That's quite possibly the worst idea I've ever read - it shall never get completed, nor will it even get close to coming off the ground. That's almost as stupid as the Ocarina of Time 2D.
And why would you want to make Advent Children into a 2D game? There's no chance anyone'd be able to pull that off correctly, unless your name is Square Enix, which I don't think it is.
