Well, I do to, but if it took up too much space, then I guess I can't complain. Though it would be weird if Kitten Sith just busted out a slot machine during a battle with the SHM. :cat: :p
Still...my Kitten Sith. :cat:  :cat:
I loved him, not just the Cat the whole set.... It upsets me that he was gone. I can see him being really cool in battle. When you think about it, without the Mog Cait Sith had no contribution to battle.
Yeah, that's true. However, nobody can doubt the awesome power of Kitten Sith. :cat:
I know, I would've loved to see him fight.
Well, at least he was huggably cute, as long as you don't think about the creepy old guy who's probably sitting at the controls miles away.
edit: Ah, apparently the creepy old guy is Reeve! I haven't played FFVII in forever. I hardly remember who Reeve is. Some Shinra guy. Hmmm.
The Director of Urban Development and Planning, Reeve-witten! :cat:
I'd keep Cait Sith around just to sleep on his Mog :mog: ... Hmm no pleasant way to communicate that sentence. Bet it's comfy though... Like a big marshmellow made of pillows... ~_^
I actually loved the fact that the Mog body wasn't in it. Nanaki took on the role perfectly. Besides, I would hate to think what the 'group jump' scene would have looked like with him in it... :p
How could you all have missed that scene?
I don't think that they even needed the cat there anymore. Why couldn't Reeve have just shown up?
Because Reeve is a normal person and can't defy gravity and perform kung-fu like everybody else. What would he have done, called Bahamut SIN on his cell and began business negotiations to get him to stop his rampage.Quote:

Heh, on to things now...I heard the reason the Moogle wasn't in was because it would be too costly to animate, just like Nanaki was supposedly too costly (fur animated) and they didn't feature much of him. Really, they didn't even show much of the others, so I don't why they couldn't have included him.
Also, what exactly would he do? Shout at him with his megaphone? Perhaps his robotic moogle has uber strength and can maybe make a dent or two in Sin? Or what? Another thing, what exactly did Reeve make Cait do in the fight, as all it looked to me is he hung around Nanaki and was more of a liability than help.
Yeah, that's my point....
BTW, Cait Sith didn't hurt the enemy's by shouting into his mic. He shouted orders to the Mog through the mic, making him attack.
Please, don't get into the whole where did you get your information thing, as I have a bad memory, and could not remember for the life of me.
Hah, no worries, Slim, as I believe you. Does clear up the thing I've been wondering about for years though. :D
It says that either in the instruction booklet, or the strategy guide. Either way, it's the most logical way to explain how Kitten Sith attacks in the first place. :cat:
Cait Sith = Scottish... i never saw that one comin
i know, it was rather entertaining :D
I certainly didn't expect it. But, being Scottish myself, it was quite enjoyable.
Well, Cait Sidh is based on Gaelic mythology, so it does make sense. Is that how he sounds in the english AC or something?
Either way, Kitten Sith!! :cat:  :cat:
In what way is he based on Gaelic mythology?

He was my favourite character!
You gotta admit they had to have him in the movie, man... if he was in the game....
It can be a plus! That large white moogle looked more like a bouncing marshmallow. And IMO Kitten Sith alone is much cooler than with the mechanical moogle.
I hate the fact that any sort of good story was absent in the film.Quote:

Still, just having Kitten Sith makes it worth seeing. Well, bar his funky English version VA. (I just saw the English a few days ago, yeesh. He really is Scottish. :eep: )
I wanted to reply to this a long time ago but i forgot. Whether he took on the role perfectly or not, he was not part of the Cait Sith character. The fact that after the game he just unexplainably decided to ride Red XIII doesn't make sense.Quote:

No! Only english CS! At least JP CS isn't as annoying...
No hurting Kitten Sith!! :nonono::cat:
Yeah, but since i speak english, english is what i listen to. I pray to god that the voice actor of CS (english) gets in some car accident so he is unable to do his terrible voice acting for DoC
I hope you fall of a cliff and die. Does that sound nice? no, so don't be a prick. Cait Sith's voice was quite cool, and was in no way similar to the voice of Jar Jar Binks. His voice WAS actually annoying. Cait Siths was just scottish. What's wrong with that? We could also say that we think the fact that Vincent can turn into a red blanky is stupid, but we don't, cause Vincent is cool. So leave CS alone!Quote:

Still, he's Kitten Sith! And he should've had his Mog...why didn't they put it in the movie? Because furred models take up space or something? :cat:
hmmm, no. I never said he sounded like Jar Jar Binks, I said he was as annoying as Jar Jar Binks. But if you like annoying cats with piss poor scottish accents and the fact that it trys to be funny, thats your opinion. But when i hear that voice I just get this sudden urge to beat Cait Sith with a bat. Cait Sith served NO purpose in the movie except to ride Red XIII and make stupid smartass comments that weren't the least bit funny. At least if he rode his Mog, he would have probably attacked or something. Eff Cait Sith, i like his mog way betterQuote:

When Cloud's cellphone is sinking into the Forgotten City pond, one of the messages is from Reeve, saying he might have some work he wants Cloud to do. It stands to reason that he'd be on his way to Edge. Nanaki and Reeve are both planet-conscious characters, so perhaps they were working together somehow? It's not too inexplicable.Quote:

He's an almost-middle-aged man with dialogue that's got a strong African-American influence. He's inevitable going to sound a little like Mr T. You'd be complaining far harder if they'd given him some generic caucasian voice.
I thought his english voice was fine. What was wrong with it? (Barret's.)
Ack.Quote:

If Barret sounded like mr. T i definately would not be complaining. Mr. T is a real man (like Chuck n orris). Barret in no way sounded like mr. T. I wish he did thoughQuote:

Well then they should have at least explained why they left him out.
If they explained every little thing like that, the movie would've been monumentally long and infinitely more dull. There's loads of stuff that's not explained - why the Turks changed the colour and style of their uniforms, why none of the characters are using their ultimate weapons... I could go on, but meh. If something's really not that important, they might as well leave it open to conjecture.
Yes many things were unanswered and that was why the movie was so goddamn mediocreQuote:

Personally, I felt it had a great mix of all the aspects that made the game great - a well-developed story, with aspects that aren't spelled out and are open to speculation; good development of several of the major characters (it was made clear from the outset that it'd be Cloud's story, not the conclusion of ALL the characters' stories); a healthy mix of action and spirituality, as well as a fun re-visit to the game's world and characters. But that's just me, though - no reason everyone should agree.Quote:

However, I feel that Cait Sith riding Red XIII was far from a little detail. It couldn't have taken them too long to explain and it would've cleared up alot of the confusion.
Blue -> black, button -> zipper is a huge change, fashion-wise :pQuote:

Well duh, of course no movie can please everyone but most people thought the movie could have been better (me being one of them). Of course if you were a simpleton fanboy anything with Sephiroth or cloud in it would make you happy, but im not just looking for a "decent follow up" to IMO is one of the best games ever made. I want it to be good, even great, just like the game. I thought the plot was incredibly mediocre. I could have thought it up, and why would the movie make all these lame changes and not even explain them. You talk as if they changed it, not just because they were being sloppy and rushing, but because they wanted us to be able to analyze the changes. And with DoC in japan getting scores like a 38% (sorry a few minor alterations does not change agame from a 38% to a 90%), it just furthermore proves that the makes of FF VII are getting lazy. All the movie had going for it was the sound/graphics/ and action, otherwise it was mediocre. I give it a 7/10Quote:

As it was, the story was a suitably involved one, centred around a fewer characters and drawing on some of the deeper mysteries left open by the game: the nature of Sephiroth and Jenova's identities and interactions, and how the Lifestream is involved in that process. Many of the ideas aren't addressed directly in the game, only in an abstract way. The film expanded on, and clarified, a number of significant ideas. A story isn't automatically "mediocre" just because a few people don't like it as much as the original. Sadly, a number of the game's fans decided back in 2003 that a sequel movie was a bad idea, and from that time they were determined never to like or enjoy anything about it.Quote:

Sure, stuff was changed for no real reason - but none of the changes fundamentally affect the characters, the plot or the back-story, so frankly I'm reasonably unconcerned about it.
Dirge of Cerberus is a bit more of a worry. From what I've seen, though, the Japanese criticism is mainly based on clunky gameplay issues - the kind of thing that might be straightened out by some tweaking. I'm fairly confident that it'll be fine character piece, though, giving Vincent's story the kind of resolution that Cloud got during the course of AC.
Well said, and I agree 100%. However, I still think that the Mog's absence needed to be clarified. Also, Cait Sith's inexplicable decision to ride Red XIII is odd.
People can't expect something that is significantly shorter ro be as good as a 50 hour game. It's not possible. It cannot be done in the time-frame used. Actually a descriptive novel would be a better fundamentally convenient choice. Saves money and it would be able to explain everything. (Perhaps a series of novels?)
There were a series of novellas which had to do with certain characters; and introduced Denzel. I believe you can find translations at http://www.ff7citadel.com somewhere.
Not exactly to do with the topic, but just so ya know. :P

I personally didnt mind him not having a mog. I liked Cath Sith riding around on Red's head. Plus it would have been a pain to use in battle maybe.
I really wouldn't of cared if Cait Sith just died, he served no purpose in the movie except to make stupid comments like Jar Jar Binks
That's probly why Red XIII didn't talk too much until the end of the movie :cry:Quote:

It would have been cool if cait sith had talked more, same goes for red XIII (for me at least, but I think he was alright just saying that one line and making people wait for it...made him kind of enigmatic.)
i just dont think the mog suit fits the film. i like cait sith on red XIIIs back. hes funny and just as good. the mog suit just wouldnt work for the film.

Yeah, and besides - every other character has got some new gear, whether it's clothing, weapons, hairstyle, or all three. Don't see why Cait Sith should be any different. It could simply be that Reeve got tired of having to store that giant stuffed to Mog. Maybe it caught fire. Maybe it was causing his friends to question his masculinity. Whatever.
Point is, there are so many possible reasons for why Reeve no longer has that thing, and it'd be pointless redundancy to have included it in the film:
*Cloud pauses in the middle of the Bahamut fight*
"Hey Cait Sith, what happened to your Mog?"
"A Dual Horn ate it."
"Oh, right."
*fight resumes*
To be honest, I don't care whether or not it suits the film, it was part of his character. And, it would've been easy to make it work in the film. Thats what directors get paid to do.Quote:
