I got her some earrings made from puau shells, but I won't be able to give them to her for a while. I suppose I could have mailed them, but I'd rather give them to her in person. I'll call her on Mother's Day, but it won't be Mother's Day where she's at just yet. :p
Nothing.
I'm gonna make her brekfast in bed, and if I can get my $20.00 from her, I'll buy her a neckalace. :)
I don't bother with mother or father's day. I think it's a ridiculous idea.
Yeah, these holidays are just there to guilt trip you if you don't buy whoever's day it is a gift. I bet the stores like 'em though. I bet these days were invented by a flowershop owner. The worst part of these days is that I feel almost forced to buy a silly gift. And if I don't they'll be all like "what? no gift? but I'm ur mother I gave birth 2 u. ;_;" or "what? no gift? but I'm ur fathr, I raised u" or "what? no gift? But I'm your girlfriend and I bought you a valentine present. :("
I'm only saying this because I'm bitter that there's no Reckless-Spammer-From-Norway day.
Hasn't Mothers day been and gone for this year?
I can't remember what I got my Mum, probably chocolates or something. I can't afford anything else.
Some cheesy flowers, but she doesn't know that. They look pretty, so therefore, they must've been expensive. I AM SO CHEAP! *Dies of shame* :weep:
I gave my mom the present of me shutting up for a whole 24 hours.:)
Whenever my mother pulls out the "But I gave birth to you!" comment, I hit back with: "Exactly, me being born is the occasion. And we celebrate that on February 27th, so stop trying to muscle in on my occasion."Quote:

I need to go buy her a card and maybe some bird-friendly coffee.
You should tell her she's just too muscular to deserve a mother's day present.Quote:

k so I got her a rug from walmart, and it ended up not having a UPC on it, so we had to wait at the register for five minutes while someone went and found onel ike it that had the barcode on it-.-
My mother passed away in '98. But me and my father got some new flowers to put on her gravestone. :)
Nothing yet :D Where im from, Mothers day is the last Sunday of May so yeah :D My brother is planning on buying her cake :D
I'm going to buy her some flowers, a card, and I'm making her an apron from my sewing class (it's easy to make). x.x
A true crime book about Peter Falconio. She's in to that sorta stuff :)
The dude at the movies gave my mom a free DaVinci Code t-shirt. xD
, whens mothers day?
tomorrow, also I'm going to clean my room haha
Being an Animal Crossing freak, my wife was really happy when I got her Animal Crossing for the DS. While I was watching her play, I realized I was gonna have to pull her weeds on BOTH the gamecube and DS versions  For those who have never played Animal Crossing, you will pull LOTS of weeds!
Breakfast in bed and a day off from working on housecleaning and stuff. Though I find Mother's day about as pointless as Valentine's day.
Breakfat in bed ,a kitchen stereo and a clean house.
Desperate for ideas, huh?Quote:

But you have to congratulate capitalism on generating ridiculous profits everytime somebody sticks some importance to some day of the year.
I declare this day Bitter Anti-Consumerism Day!! WOO HOO!!
Nuthin. I meant to, but on thursday I totally forgot and spent my money on Suikoden Tactics and a great pair of headphones
For all of you who got your Mother nothing, I hope when your birthdays roll around, she says "Oh, sorry hun, but birthdays are nothing more than marketing ploys designed to sucker us into buying more stuff." Same for Christmas. Selfish Selfish
I got my mom some perfume.
It was her birthday on Mothers day as well. What did I get her? 2 cards, thats all.
Yeah and what right do you have to say that? You dont know the family siuations with the people here. I got my mum bugger all cause she either gets me nothing for my birthday or Christmas, or buys me crap that was given to her or I dont even like.Quote:

Maybe that's what already happens? In my family we don't all go and buy each other stuff for every "holiday" that comes up. It doesn't make us selfish or mean that we don't care for each other. Mind your own business.Quote:

Because of course in the days when the Bible was written, consumerism was booming! Guess how I know my birthday isn't a marketing ploy?.... Because.... I was actually born!Quote:

i did ^^
I got mine some flowers which I will put on her grave today.
Mother's day has already passed in the UK -- it was a while ago. I got my mum some bath products and a bottle of Baileys. :jess:
I took her out for breakfast.
I bought her Harold and Maude on DVD, since that is one of her favorite movies.
I forgot today's Mothers Day. Oh well
I gave her some art done by me that she has been wanting for weeks...
A card.
a big vase of yellow roses and dinner at Max House (formerly House of C-Fu) restaurant. i usually despise the restaurant, but it had good food today.
I didn't do anything, because every day is Mother's Day.
At work we made picture frames with the kids fingerprints around the edges and a poem about "keeping these little fingerprints to remember when I'm grown" or some such thing, so I made one for my mom too. xD
My mom has been out-of-town for a few days because my baby cousin's surgery didn't go particularly well so I didn't get to see her.
Well, with the help of my brother, I got enough money to get her some cadbury roses...a day late, but stil, she was overjoyed
I bought my Mom a bouquet of flowers and took her out for a Sushi dinner.
"Hi, Mum! I totally didn't just get a text message from my sister telling me to call you, and if I did get one, then I either don't know about it or else it was entirely coincidential and I really was going to call you anyway! Okay? Okay! I love you, Mum! Happy Mother's Day!"
She laughed, she knows I never remember these things.
...It was Mothers' Day?
Oops.
EDIT: Phew, it passed ages ago here. Thanks Jess!
Now that is cool! :bow:Quote:

Yesterday I visited my mother-in-law and bought her a bagload of things that she likes. She was very happy with it and then later we took her out for pizza. :cat:
My daughter made me an origami ethanol molecule. It is so cute and looks just like a puppy. :)
I bought my mother a little gift basket from Bath & Body Works. :) She loves Cucumber Melon, so I bought a set that has shower gel, lotion, soap and body spray. :D I will be giving it to her this weekend when I go to Alaska to visit her! :D
