Theoretical Sibling Survey

You don't have to share names, but you can if you like, just leave the number at the top of your reply.

By Sibling, what I'm looking for is 'children of my parents that have impacted my life in some manner'

For example, I have four half siblings, three of them are girls and one is a boy. They're all at least eight years older than myself, I've never met two of them, but I used to live with the other two. So if I were to reply, I would say 3, Cory, Nichole, and myself. But I'm not since I've already included my number!

I guess leeza would get mad, so go ahead and talk about them in here so it just isn't a number, but don't forget the number!

(this is for a theory I'm developing btw:D)

Are only childs zero or one then?

Two older and three younger sisters.

Two of the younger ones haven't affected my life a whole lot, but in small ways. One is the same age I am.

2. One little half-sister. I have a step-sister, but I've never even met her, so yeah.

I'm the oldest of seven... Three half sisters, two step sisters, and one step brother...

* "adopted" brother - my mom took care of him like he was one of her own. i'm not sure what the background is, but he may have lost his parents in the Khmer Rouge.

...well being Asian, cousins and children of my parents' friends are considered "brothers" and "sisters" as well.

Depends on what kind of siblings you're counting. I'm going to assume you're counting stepsiblingss and half-siblings, but not siblings-in-law.

Unlike my brother I have not, as yet, been admitted to a mental hospital, but every day my family (and presumably most of EoFF) live in hope. :p

My brother definetly... did stuff to me. :confused:
Erm... I mean, influenced, I guess. 'Cause when I was little I used to sit and play Playstation games with him and watch New Model Army videos. So without him, my early childhood wouldn't be so game filled. My memories are mostly games- I look back and stuff like Tomb Raider, Doom and Toshiden. Very nostalgic. :p
And stuff like Beast Wars.

And the rest of them just kinda suck. I liked my cats though. :)

if you grew up with your siblings-in-laws, then I would tell you to count them. If you had a brother who was around when you were two years old but then disappeared to your family and you never really thought of or saw him again and didn't really remember him, then I wouldn't.

I lived with my sister until the age of around 17 (she was 19).
I've lived with my half-sister, stepsister and stepbrother for a good... hmm... four years or so? I lived so close to them for so long that we may as well have lived together for a lot longer though. I consider all four of the above to be my siblings for sure. I don't really consider my in-law to be my brother, though. I consider him to be my sister's husband. Poor guy. :p

I'm an only child. Some people often ask if it gets lonely, but I don't find it lonely at all. I enjoy it! =D...except all your parents nagging gets directed at you when they're in a bad mood. :/
