I want to know when you think someone stops becoming a newbie. My personal opinion is 3 months, cos then you have learnt the rules and avoided being banned for being n00bish.

3 months is the noobies cutoff for the ciddies too.
You sure you aren't making this thread to see if you're "newbish" still?
Anyways, I think the question is silly, you can not be "newbish" if you read the rules the first day, they're usually all the same rules for all forums, and they're pretty common sense.
8 Months, if they have a custom title, they've proved they're not N00bish and been here long enough to not be a newbie. Though some people lose their sense of e-humour and become mod-whores. It doesn't really matter that much. Unless some of the oldbies have Newbiephobia.
This forum's actually pretty clear about this stuff. Because of The Ciddies- you know when you're a newbie, a regular and a veteran.
Being a noob doesn't really come into that. You can have been here for years and still be a noob. Being a newbie isn't such a bad thing. You get laughed at it, but in a loving way. Becasue you have every potential of being a well-loved veteran. That's always the way it is, isn't it? New kids get laughed at, but it's nothing personal. It's just everyone else deserves to be able to pick on someone.
If you're a noob, people will always hate you. In a hating way.
Of course, you can just wait for the site's anniversary. They make a few jokes, disguise you as Jebus, and you get stuck with a custom title. Months before you should have one. :)
I'd say after about 100 posts or so.
37 years.
Definitly not, anyone could do 100 posts in a few minutes. It counts for nothing.Quote:

well why don't you just call em a n00b then! :(
When they stop using r as are and u as you etc
Sounds about right.Quote:

When you know all the inside jokes of the forum and people talk to you.
Thus, I still have a long way to go.
When he/she has posted so often that people KNOW who he/she is.
Like me, they KNOW it's DK/DeathKnight crushing judgement into everyone here :D ........or at least I think they know me:mog:
I've been here for 2 years and nobody knows who the hell I am. I cling to be my newbness because I'm scared of change.
Or am I just so ninja, nobody notices me? Yeah I like that let's go with that.
I am forever n00blet, "ph33r" me n' such.
you'll always be a newbit to me
i would say you are a noob until you know what your doing on the site and also you have made friends with people :D or until like everyone knows you on here which is like impossible :D expect for like loony bob and stuff lol :D
I feel your pain.Quote:

Its all about attitudes people
Never.
custom title.
Bad example. Even as a "noob" I used correct grammar unless I was being ironic.Quote:

When you get laid by another member. Duex ;)
I think it happens sometime after the fifth banning.
It's a psychological thing.
You have to fall out of favor with every CK....only then will you be not a newbie.
n00b :pQuote:

Oh yes, Ms. XXXSephirothXXX. Most people are newbies to you. But I know we registered around the same time. :p
I though ^^~*M0oNLigHt~Rac00n*~<3 was some awesome new newbie, but it turned out to be xXxSephirothxXx.
EDIT: Stupid Hasselhoff.
EDITEDIT: Rudy Toppeldauer McLarentwitz is what I meant to say.
Time and postcount have no bearing on how 'noobish' you are. You could have been at EoFF for 3 years, but if you never stray out of the X-2 forum you're still a noob.
If you think FFX and FFX-2 should always be considered "together", since they are, as EVERY REAL FF fan knows that they are completely the same, then you are a newb.
If you like Jeff Foxworthy, well, I got news for you.
You just might be a *snip*
If you like FFX-2 at all, you just might be a newb.
If your name is Raistlin or Psychotic, well, there's no hope for you at all.
hey guys!!!
im new!!!
i really lik FF!!! It's AWESOME!!!
i luv FFX. Yuna is sooo hot! ;)
Anyway, cyaz!
About when you get your custom user title isn't it?
Usually, but if your first custom title is 'I LOVE CLOUD AND MARRY HIM 4EVA' then no.Quote:

YOU'VE ALREADY FAILED!
I expected Manus to say this and refer it back to me.Quote:

So basically, we have come to the conclusion that if you are over-obsessed with Final Fantasy, you are still a n00b?
i guess that means i win :DQuote:

I was only ever a newbie on this forum, as this was the first one I ever joined. I beleive it is how you act that makes you a "newbie". Some people can fit right in, some cant
Some people are eternal n00bs in their attitudes. However, n00b is also how you are treated. You are no longer a n00b when you have sufficent strret cred that people can say, "Hey, Lost Number! What a bloody eejit!" or "Oh no, its Gull. I hate that guy."
or the FFVII forum for that matter.Quote:

I don't know. When you stop using a FFX avatar maybe.
When someone insults your favorite Final Fantasy game and you sacrifice them upon your Squeenix altar for it, then you have Newb flowing in your veins. And, for the record, I just did this today around noon. That will teach Jimmy not to insult MY Fantasy!
When you're practically married to the admin!
Now that's just being obsessed. :DQuote:

When you make a topic that goes to five pages. :D
I've yet to fully grasp why people are concerned about being a "newbie" or not.
