Mansun.
Joy Division are Underated too.
Venom
I agree with Joy Division. Grace Jones stole one of their songs (She's Lost Control) and made it a hit.Quote:

Daft Punk
Nitro.
bowling for soup
and of course my fave the punkrock/heavy metal karaoke band from around here they kick ass :P:D
Kyuss
Mr. Bungle
Joy Division is one of the most underrated and influential bands of all time.I hardly hear anyone talking about King Crimson nowadays but maybe that's just me.Most underated genre by the general public:Prog RockQuote:

I'd have to say, Xaal are amazingly underrated. They are just superb Progressive Metal/Rock/Fusion and are truely progressive. They make Liquid Tension Expirement sound untechnical.
it's gotta be Wishbone Ash for me, seriously if you guys get a chance to hear them, do, they are absouloutly fabulous :choc:
Less underated as unknown, but The Butterfly Effect are a group that only I and a hand full of people seem to know. Also Taproot's new album is amazing but no one seems to "get it". I'm guessing it's the americans, no good yanky do-da's. They got Futurama cancelled!
....ok, i am ready to reveal my dirty little secrets!!! *clears throat and stands up*
My name is Lady Yunalesca and am quite the fan of c**k Rock
*room falls to silence*
seroiusly though...
I think that people shouldnt be so hard on the like of skid row, motley crue, warrant (oh man, gotta love cherry pie) and W.A.S.P (Mr Manson totally stole the chpper handle microphone) !!!! i think that because they were considrered "uncool" when seattle rock took over the world that people were afraid to like them. But i have made a move, would anyone else care to "come out of the closet" ??? :)
*sits back down*
My Bloody Valentine. I absolutely love their sound.
And as someone mentioned earlier, King Crimson. In The Wake of Poseidon is one of my favorite records of all time.

Tsunami Bomb is a good band.
The Dresden Dolls for me. :) They're my favourite band in general. I like them underrated though, because as lame as this sounds, it makes me sad when a band that I like such as Panic! At The Disco suddenly get insane MTV play and recognition and everyone is like "OMGIGAWD LYING IS THE MOST FUN A GIRL CAN HAVE WITHOUT TAKING OFF HER CLOTHES!1111 THAT'S FROM A MOVIE CALLED CLOSER. OMIGAWWWWD!1" And no, I'm not the shallow type that stops listening to the band, I still love Panic, it just bugs me.
"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" all the way.Quote:

I'll say The Verve Pipe, but I don't know if they're underrated or not. Probably more just faded into obscurity after the popularity of 90s alternative rock died out.
