Do you like clowns? Clowns really frighten me, I don't like them. My friend has a phobia of clowns. When someone dressed up as one in our school, she was shaking and crying. Damn clownfaces. :(

I hate clowns...:nonono:
Aahahahaahah @ the title of this thread.
I'm not really frightened by clowns, I don't like them, though. I think they should stop trying to give me balloons, I don't want any godammit.
They don't really scare me as I hardly see them. They don't really bother me
You know, I've never actually SEEN a clown. Or, I don't remember seeing a clown.
I hate clowns too. If they don't wear too much makeup they're fine. It's when they wear too much, that makes them look ridiculously creepy.
I love the idea of clowns, but it's just a shame how lame they actually are. ><
When I first met a clown and it wanted to shake my hand(I was 4),I cried so loud that the whole audience was looking at me.Now,I never go to the circus. It's given me a childhood shadow.

I don't really hold an opinion on clowns. :jess:
I LOVE clowns. My earliest memory of them is from a Scooby Doo cartoon, where this evil clown hypnotizes Daphne. I've always been intrigues by them since then, and I view them as....something...MAGICAL~

You be the judge.
Clowns are overrated.
I don't really care for them, but I do wonder how they fit about 100 of them in a tiny car.
Im not 100% scared of them, they just creep me out. I can never understand the reason why someone would want to wear huge clothes, paint their faces and throw pies at each other. But some of the ones Ive met were lovely.
This thread is full of clownface apathy.
I hate clowns. With a vengance!
I don't hate them, but they annoy me immensely..
clowns scare me so much T_T who would think someone who dresses like that would be amusing? it's disturbing! (imo)
Clowns are ridiculous and frightening. They should be done away with.
I don't hate clowns, but I do get the urge to cause them pain. Whenever I see a clown I get tempted to beat it up. If I see someone laughing at a clown, I naturally assume that like me, their envisioning giving it a good hard punch to the solar plexus.
I don't just like clowns, I also like mimes.
Clowns annoy me.
Does that clown have feces on his clothes?Quote:

clowns are just odd.
nope, they do not scare me. i don't have any clown dolls in my room, because the glass/plastic/wooden types are forbidden (unless they're Japanese). i like stuffed animals...
Clowns are funny! :cat:
Whats the big deal with clowns, there not that scary. I can think of much scarier things then men with make up on there faces.
I've only seen a clown once in my life, and the elephant almost pooped on him.
I'm not really afraid of clowns.
Meh.
You made this thread just to use that title, didn't you?
I have been scared to death of clowns ever since I saw It when I was SEVEN. Why the hell did my parents let me watch that when I was that young? Arghsaasasadsfd...The clown in the drain. ;_____;
Also, my mother has a fear of them and she passed it on to me. Whore. :mad2:
I don't particulary mind them, though I yet have to see one that is funny.

That one is missing the great caption though. :(Quote:

When I went to Florida last year, we went in a haunted house sort of thing, and there was this one room with like...a bouncy floor, carnival like, and there were evil clowns running around. It was the worst thing ever.

My favourite 'underground' music artist(s).
Mr. Bungle is great too.
I feel that clowns are odd; they accomplish just the opposite of what they were created for: entertaining young kids. Usually, instead of entertaining them, they scare them... probably because young kids are very sensitive to something new in their surroundings. To kids, new things mean uncertainty, and within the split-second of noticing a new thing, if it is not immendiately calming in some way they tend to fear it. Clowns are not calming. They have garishly painted faces and move around a lot. It's not too suprising they scare a lot of kids.
However, some young kids eventually sense the friendliness of clowns and are then OK with them.
That reminds me of the time I was playing the Sims and it was one of my first attempts at succesfully guiding a family through "having a baby" (notice the quotatations marks due to the fact that all the game shows is the sudden appearance of a cradle). I wasn't yet the accomplished gamer I am now, so eventually everyone in the family had most of their stats (comfort, energy etc.) completely red. The clown arrived, the baby was carted off with that dreaded Social Service woman, and after that the family never recovered and that damned clown never left.Quote:

Some clowns can be quite a hoot! :choc2:
My only real encounter with clowns was when I was 11 years old and my dad just told me that him and my mom would be splitting up. I ran to some parking lot somewhere. Where it was is not important. Anyway, there was this clown collecting donations for some AIDS foundation or something. He came up to me and asked me if I was lost and I told him why I was crying. He made me a balloon animal and told me some jokes which cheered me up for a while.
If he wasn't a clown it wouldn't have been the same. I probably would have cried more; I was terrified of strangers back then. I guess the unusual outfit and hair took my mind off the fact I didn't know him.
That was really nice of him. I guess that's why grown men and women actually become clowns.Quote:

I've never cared for clowns. I think they look too sad, but freaky and scary at the same time. :cat:
Clowns are often portrayed as evil.
Sweet tooth from Twisted Metal for exapmle (Thats the evil clown dude right?)
Then we have evil jesters like Dhoulmagus, and clown lookalikes like Kefka.
Im not afraid of clowns, but I do think they are very stupid and lame
WHOEVER put that picture of Pennywise (I am too scared to look again) up I am going to GET YOU!!!!!! I have severe coulrophobia and I am especially scared of that clown from It. I saw that movie when I was 5 and whenever I manage to stop being scared, I see pictures of the clown or see the movie again or something, and I get scared all over again. I HOPE YOURE HAPPY WHOEVER YOU ARE FOR TRAUMATIZING A SMALL CHILD!!!
The only clown I like is Ronald McDonald. He teaches me to eat healthy and I like that
I hate Stephen King for writing that book. :(
I don't like clowns, but I'm not scared of them. I think clowns are stupid and annoying more than anything.
I love clown, I want to marry a clown!
Some examples of male clown:
Kefka is just funny and Ronald McDonald is fun!
Some example of female clown:
Eiko just like Psy said.

they do have a creepy vibe but i think thats unjust. its just a culture thing based mostly on horror movies.
its a shame because as silly as it might sound, it is an artform. i've met a couple modern clowns who are trying to break some of the stereotypes and they're pretty interesting people. i think they might be fighting a losing battle but theyre entertaining crowds and having a good time so whos to say
John Wayne Gacy ruined clowns for everyone.
