My wallpaper has been the same it has been for about 2 years. I'm extremely sick of it, seeing how the band it's of is a band I don't even like anymore, but it's a well made wallpaper so I can't find one that is as aesthetically pleasing. :(

I'm pretty low computer matenience but I have to have Photoshop or I'll die. And I have more skins for my task bar, depends on the color of the background, I like the blue one best because the buttons scare the bajebus out of me when I get messages off msn. :D

the point isn't having more software, it's having better software.

I use like two desktop icons. once when i start up my computer. there's like ten total atm. Everything else I can do from mirc ^_^

EDIT: Jess, I remembered something about you wanted to change the bar, doesn't it? I was changing mine, and found this one (rubysteel.zip), I don't use it, but you could. this file will help to get your screen nearly all pink n.nU, use it with knowledge.

I see pictures of Danielle far, far more often than I look at my desktop. I see my desktop maybe once every few months. I *always* have Winamp, two IE windows, mIRC and usually Excel or Azureus or something open, and I have them on full-screen size, so yeah. Her photos are on my real desktop.

I think Danielle would far sooner have a picture of Heidi Klum on her desktop than she would a picture of me, too. She knows that she's the most beautiful girl in my world - being on my computer's desktop means extremely little.

EDIT: Also, to avoid confusion, I don't mean when I find a picture that is better than the one I have, I mean when I find a picture that I'm going to want to keep there for a long time, not just a few weeks until I find a better picture of her. I change my desktop about once every six months to a year. If I'm going to change it to Danielle, it better be a damned good pic. Although the one of her in the train might get there. We'll see.

EDIT AGAIN: I just got shown this picture which might go up instead though. That's so pretty.

EDIT ONCE MORE: What, no rebuttle? I'm so bored, Miriel! :(

Maybe the Style XP, but you can install the style without it... but search for it, it helps to install things like this one n.n

You should use the Creative Surround Mixer. It's a nicer icon than the default Windows one.

Yeah, the only reason for not using the Creative Mixer is because many of the creative products load more slowly than the native windows ones.

Looking forward to the KDE goodness. :) (Speaking of which, I need to boot into Linux and post my desktop from there too.)

It takes just a little bit longer to load. Maybe two seconds at startup and the footprint is small, maybe 1-2MB. Of course that's all I have running at startup (120MB total :cool: ) so I don't notice the load that much. Interestingly enough, I have a lot more startup items running when I login to KDE, but I still have a small memort footprint, around 140MB without any swap use. I love memory management in Linux. :)
