i'm probably being stupid, but i've seen this EVERYWHERE.
"I Cried Aloud With Mirth and Merriment."
What is that supposed to mean and why is everyone saying it?

Probably just some coincidence. Once I learned the word Curriculum, I suddenly heard it everywhere. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/levia/shoat.gif
OH WAIT! You're not a noob! I can tell you! :D There used to be a filter, and trying to say lol resulted in I cried aloud with mirth and merriment. It's gone now, but when they got rid of the filter, everyone still wanted it. So the mods made lol with a . at the end the new lol filter.
Put lol with a period at the end.
lol.
...Am I seeing things or did that mage/wizard just change to a green pig. I cried aloud with mirth and merriment.Quote:

"l>ol." filters to "lol."
"Chu>ck Norris" filters to "Chuck Norris".
a couple of inappropriate words filter into "".
the f-word filters into "smurf".
"xD" filters into "I am The Man and I suck."
there may be some others. Admins can change them and look at the list.
lol. Chuck Norris XD smurf
EDIT: hmmmm, the xD one didn't work
Once you type 1o1, you'll get that I laughed aloud with mirth and merriment.
I find it REALLY cute when the babes are the ones who do it :hat:
Edit: eestlinc beat me to it, hmmmmm oh well, READ IT FROM ME ALL OVER AGAIN!
Oh ha. I cried aloud with mirth and merriment.
Did that work? Weird. This is almost like the I cried aloud with mirth and merriment. test thread. :greenie:
The most useful filter there is is the one that turns Ryu>ukishi into Ryűkishi.
Also, a lot of the filters don't work in the Simplified Style, so this thread reads pretty funny when you're using that one. I suppose I'll go fix that now, at lesat for "lo>l." - although it won't be the same as the whole merriment thing got annoying for me a while ago.
I don't like that filter. :(
I miss the zomg filter. :(
There was a zomg filter? Man, I'm such a n00b. :rolleyes2 At least we still have Raoul Duke. :D
Edit: We don't have Chucky Norriz. :nonono:
lol. Chuck Norris xD smurf
It was too tempting.
The xD one still doesn't work.
