If you could re-do X-2?

How would you do it? I was thinking about this last night and I thought to myself, "X-2 would be have been a much more fun gaming experience If I had done such and such."

Anyway If I could Re-do X-2 I would.

1.Have more playable characters.
2.Make it so Lulu didnt get preganant so she could fight alongside Yuna.
3.I would have The same level up system as in X.
4.Same battle system as X.
5.I would adjust the storyline so it gives it a more darker atmosphere.


BTW I looked for a thread with a similiar topic and couldnt find it. So yeah CK, close it if you guys found it.

Or you could find yourself a job at a v-game company.

It's their game and their vision and I don't see why we should mess with it.

More sexy dresspheres!!!! I dunno what though. Maybe one where they could like... strip... :drool: yeah. They should have a red mage dressphere too I think. And that should be sexy too! :D

Problem with that? Some people like certain types of characters.

1.Have more playable characters - Yes, try and include playability for Nooj, Baralai and Gippal, maybe include them more in some missions? D:

Ok, less sexy dresspheres. More covered up ones. The trainer, black mage, white mage, samurai and dark knight were the only ones that you could wear and not look like a prostitute.

True, but I like sexy dresspheres. Especially on Rikku. :love: And I still like the black mage dressphere even if it's not very revealing. Esppecially Paine's. But I like Rikku's skirt!!! :D

But remember that the game was for the Rikku and Yuna fanboys, so less clothing the better. I agree though, more covered up dresspheres would be nice. And maybe some more playable new characters. I dont want to replay X2 with X's characters, but 4 would be nice instead of 3. Maybe a support guy character?

Yeah, a guy would be kind of nice, but the whole game just seemed kind og girly to me. Like playing dress up. I'd love to see a guy spherechanging! It would be funny. I wonder what his outfits would look like if there was a guy. lol

skimpier outfits, more girls, hotter girls, more weapons, longer story line, kickass SFX. better unlockables. It only failed because of storyline IMO.

If I had to redo X-2 I would overwrite the DVD with Oblivion, thus improving it sixty-seven fold.

If I could Re-do X-2 I would.

1.Have more playable characters. Get Tidus back on chapter 2, joining the Gullwings with Garik and Gippal (or Nooj / Baralai) to make a 6 player team
2.Nix Brother - too annoying - leave Buddy and Shinra.
3.Nix chapters 2 and 4 entirely, trade it for more Bevelle intrigue, make New Yevon meaner and darker.
4.Keep X-2 battle system, only redeeming thing of the game
5.Shinra would be Bahamut's fayth under cover, following Yuna to keep her out of trouble
6.Keep the monster Arena

Actually Soulcalibur IV, a very "manly" battle game also has new outfits for it's characters. But they let you add new weapons and armor too. I'd just add the ability to add weapons and change the darn name - dress and garments ? too girly!!!!

I am writing a few changes to gamplay, should be ready soooooon-ish

I would change"Scored" to "obtained" or "aquired", and the dialogue would be less girly. Then I would add more sidequests that weren't too girly. I only think of two of the sidequests in teh current game are good. Those being Via Infinito and the Den of Woe.
oh yeah, I would make Yuna run less like a sissy, and make it so your field 3D model reflected the current dressphere. I would also ask Uematsu to make a few pieces for it.

if i could redo X-2 i would make it ff 13 instead iand i bet everybody would love it

If I could re-do it...

1. More decent (coverer) dresspheres and clothes out of battle. Really, the most decent dressphere is the White Mage...

2. Increase the difficulty of bosses in game (God, only time I got stucked was in Chac)

3. Battle system similar to FFX

4. More playable characters

5. Gil not so easy to earn :D

wow seems really hard

i would change the girly dialogue and the storyline. Other FF stories had so much depth that gave them incredible length. I reckon the X-2 storyline should have revolved more around Sin and the Fayth, maybe something like Shuyin was the first Sin or something. More playable characters would have been nice but not a nessecity since YRP can become all classes. And you shouldn't be able to equip the same garment grid to all three girls. Also the battle system absolutely rocked so that should stay. Brother can stay but his infatuation with yuna has got to go.

The only thing I'd change is how they told the story.

How they told it:

"LYK! OMG! LETS KILL VEGNAGUN. HAHA WTF LOL!"

Other than that, I enjoyed the game. The battle system was particularily fun and fast.

For one thing, make Gippal, Nooj and Baralai playable characters and of course still fight against them when the time came. Fighting against allies are fun. And.. erm, more FMV's and cutscenes, there weren't nearly enough!

I think Rikku+Gippal make a way better couple. They're so cute!! But she's even better with me!!! There's this one part in the game where I have it saved and Rikku and Gippal look really cute together

I would:
-Not turn the characters into sassy gun weilding prostitutes, and thus ruin the great depth and story of FFX.
-Keep Yuna the same, not give her a whole new personality (and remove most of her clothes) to keep the fans interested.
-Squall was a mistake. No one is that introverted, and isn't this what Square are trying to do nowdays? Mimick REAL believable people? Why make that mistake again with Paine? I would give her a more interesting personality disorder, like...diapers. She has an unhealthy obession with diapers. I'd much prefer that.
-I'd give it a REAL soundtrack. I love the classical music on the FF soundtracks. Though much loved, games like DMC and their continuous pounding of Industrial Metal can get pretty tedious after a while. The FF music sets a great scene, and really contributes to the games. The FFX-2 soundtrack sounds as if it was made by the latest DJ, using samples from the latest dance club anthems. Instead of having different songs for different areas, they seem to just remix the last one. Over, and over.
-I would give it a bit more story. Heck, I'd give it a LOT more story! Personally I wouldn't like to treck around the world of Spira doing meaningless tasks aimlessly trying to find Spheres, hoping that at least ONE of them contains a video of an already dead man. OH WAIT, HE ISN'T!

I agree with everything feona17 and Alive-Man have brought up. Like someone else said, all the problems were with the story. Gameplay was great. Although I did kind of miss how it was in FFX, being able to switch characters in and out of battle. That would have been nice to see again - even though you only had 3 characters the entire time in FFX-2. But that's where Gippal, Nooj, and Baralai come in. :monster:

I think that you should be able to play as YRP and Nooj, Gippal, Baralai and the leblanc syndicate that would be cool because first they are your enemy then they join you and they should make the white mage dressphere the Harlot dressphere and instead of pray she would have kiss
