Five second rule.
Yes, me too. I won't eat anything unless it's been on the floor for longer than 5 seconds.
no. Just no. Unless the floorhappens to be very, very clean.
Depends on what I've dropped, how clean the floor is, and how easy it is to clean dropped item :p
yea i jus wiped a little bit of the donut:DQuote:

Yeah, depends on the floor and whether or not it touched someone's foot. Also, the 5 second rule- I have to attempt to get it in 5 seconds or its not worth it.
No thanks!
maybe
Usually if it's in my own house I won't mind ;)
It's ok to eat parts of the food that doesn't have floor on it. Bring a spoon.
It adds to the taste. :)
I knew this fat guy who was too fat to pick food up off the floor after he dropped it :monster:
When you live in my house you probably wouldn't eat stuff that fell on the floor. First of all we have mice. In rooms that are inaccessible to the mice we have carpet that would decorate your leaf of cabbage with hairs. I don't like wasting food. If the food was washable like fruit then I would probably wash it and eat otherwise it can say "hi" to my bin
Eating off the floor is for animals.
Depends on what floor and how hungry I am.
On second thoughts I just realised how ambiguous the question was. I don't eat stuff off the floor. If ever I was going to eat something that fell on the floor I would have the decency to pick it up first
totally. :cool:Quote:

Oh im not arsed. I'll eat anything aslong as I actually LIKE it. If its like cucumber or something and I drop it, in fluff, then naah, but apart from that
The five second rule doesn't really work, no matter how long the food has been on the floor, it'll still have some bacteria no matter what. Despite that, I usually don't eat stuff off the floor.
It's not that difficult to wash it after it's been on the floor.
That sounds like something hilarious to see. :pQuote:

Not like I care though. If I'm hungry, I'm not going to let any bit of food escape my mouth. Although, if it's soup, or pudding, or noodles, I usually won't eat it after it's been on the ground. Dirty wet things are just nasty.

Yeah, what Cl_out said. I do not eat anything that's been on my kitchen floor.Quote:

After all, we are all filthy bags of flesh already filled with bacteria..
5 second rule=complete awesomeness!
My Alex is always eating things from off the floor. He's just turned three, and he still does it. Yesterday at the park, he picked up a handful of wood chippings and squelchy mud. I stopped him before he threw it, thank goodness. He's not a badly behaved child; he just hasn't grasped the concept that things on the floor are dirty and should not be touched.
If his food drops on the floor, he always tries to salvage it and becomes quite upset when I put it in the bin. :/
Yeah, if it can be washed. Let's say that I dropped a fresh apple on the floor. Sure, I can wash it since it hasn't been bitten into. Now, let's say I dropped a bagel with the spread side on the floor. Now, would I be able to wash that and eat it afterwards? No way.Quote:

no...
Yeah, I utilize the five minute rule.
I utilize the trashcan and learn not to drop things.
As long as it's dry so big chunks of nasty can't stick to it, then yeah. Like black orb said, it's not like we don't already have some bacteria in us ... the digestive tract is strong, put it to good use!
Floor food is a great way to build up your immunities. Besides you get enough dirt and whatnot everyday from various other activities. Floor food is quite tame in comparison.
It all depends on how hungry I am.
oh snap i use the 10 second rule
it all depends if i can be bothered to eat it or not! hate to waste it otherwise
has no one here ever heard of the "2 drop rule"
as logn as you dotn drop it twice, its ok.
if you drop it twice, it wasnt meant to be...
Nope.
well, i won't chisel off 3 year old gum from the ground and start chewing on it. but i would most likely be found picking up a dropped piece of fruit and re-wash it before eating it...
