Ummm...Both?! XD
It doesn't matter, as long as there's enough for me to drink.

What? I like Golden Girls and wanted to use the line. I finally saw an opprotunity.
Half full.
uuuuuh.............
Half Broken?
It depends. If i was filling it and stopped half way, its half full. If ive drunken half, its half empty.
atleast its not on fire
You have NO idea how right you are, good sir.Quote:

Depends on weather I'm drinking or pouring.
It half filled up.
neither. The glass is too small :D
What glass?
it's half full right now!!
if you are optimistic, you would probably say half full, if you were pessimistic, you would say half empty.
The Glass is all full. It always has something in it, be it air or liquid.
The glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Ok, since you people keep talking about the size of the glass or the structure, or just totally missing the point, I'm gonna post a picture of the glass. >_>

How can a glass be full or empty if it's 2-D??
lol
-_-;

Bow down to its jagedness.
I'm gonna have to use that someday. :DQuote:

And then some wise guy will come along and say "It's blatantly obvious that I was referring to the volume of water/liquid in the glass, so stop nit-picking".Quote:

This question is asked to gauge whether or not the answerer is an optimist or a pessimist, but it is so commonly used that it becomes a breeding ground for witty responses. I wonder if they have a new question to ask for others' outlooks on life.
There's a story I once read:
A philosopher, a priest, and a zen master were sitting around a table, one day. On this table was a glass containing fifty percent water and fifty percent air, roughly. The philosopher and the priest argued long and hard over whether the glass was half full or half empty.
"It's half-full, to show the wonderful bounty our Lord has given us!" cried the priest.
"It's half-empty, to show that we should cast off our complacency and work to better ourselves and the glass!" responded the philosopher.
They argued for some time, until the zen master looked up, took the glass, and prompty drank the water. So it was that they were enlightened.
:D  :bgl:  :ty: :thumb: :beer:Quote:

Half empty. I make Murphy look like an optimist.
Half-full. Then again, it's never empty.
No glass is ever half-full, because the concept of being half full would suggest that half of the empty space in the glass is filled. Since many atoms are just empty space, even a glass full of liquid is only semi-full. Ergo it can't be either ;)
I'd sig that if it weren't so much text. :pQuote:

Its just water. Interpret it anyway you like. Maybe its comical, who knows?
The water's poisoned.
It is not the glass that bends, it is YOU.
If Ive drank from the glass then Im emptying it. So its half-empty.
Both. XD
It's both.
Also, however much is in the glass you still have a glass. Put it outside when it rains and booyah! The glass is infinitely full.
Edit: Further, you could break the glass and kill other people with the sharp parts, and then taken their water.
Yep.Quote:

I would come up with a witty twist, but I'd rather be dead serious and say that I consider them glasses to be half-full.
come on, witty twist, please. but wouldn't the correct term be cup? Because glass is a material made of sand and immense heat.
Neither. In a metaphorical sense, for me personally, the glass is full to the top and brimming with sweet water. Or is it just the end of school?
What if I want Mountain Dew instead of water?

Thats what I just said! :mad:Quote:

Just say something normal and get out, you wankers.
btw, I use cups, not glasses
it depends.
if you are filling a glass to the half way mark, it is half full.
if you drink half a glass, it has been half emptied.
you people and your logoc *rolls eyes without usng the smilie*
No wonder why EoFF is such a skeptical place. Can't agree on anything.
I am a realist, both mean the same.
But have different implications.Quote:

I really do hate this question. Its relivency is only .1% in a world wherer 45.45% of statistics mean nothing.
Catsup vs Ketchup - now there is a question with cosmic implications!
I say half-empty but they mean the same thing anyway.
its a metaphore not a real glassQuote:

Half-empty... unless someone I hate dies or gets hit by a car or gets dismembered and eaten by an ill-tempered mutated seabass, or falls into an acid bath or contracts the Ebola virus or similar..... or if someone's nice to me.
And its alcohol :DQuote:

The glass has fluid in it. As long as it's not poisonous, I don't really care.
there is no spoon o_OQuote:

It all depends on the previous action! However, by the time I'm done with it, it is usually an empty glass. Usually one would be correct by saying that it is half-empty. I say half-empty. Now, if you excuse me, I have to go cut my wrists at the sadness of the loss of so much liquid that could have been used! IT HURTS ME DEEP!
who cares, so long as its liquor.
bottoms up

is someone has drunk from it - its half empty as it has been emptied. if its being filled up its half full because its not been filled up yet.
Ha! Someone else copied mine and Croyles theories!!!Quote:

If someone already said this, it's not that I copied you. I tend to read the forum AFTER I post. If I read at all.
I think the glass is half-full. I don't understand the half-empty part.
Of what exactly?
I drink Juice Boxes and Cans of vegetable juice so I don't have glasses haha!
