Pretty much the only reliable friends I have are online. I can really relate to some people. Most people offline I couldn't consider 'friends' as they're generally just backstabbers...
Enough to stay happy and welcome more to be even happier.
Let's see. There's 16,917 members on EoFF, plus my real life friend Thomas. That makes 16,918.
About 300, give or take a couple.
Complete guesstimate of 250-600. I mean, I figure I have about 250 people on my LJ friends list (after you take away 50 or so dupe accounts) and then a few offline work-friends to boot, so yeah. Not to mention all the offline friends from back in NZ.
I have no friends. People don't like the Welsh. :crying:
...you expect me to count? :( FINE. *counts* ...1! :D

I'm like BoB. Take my 260 on MSN. Take about 100 who I don't actually talk to. Then add on all my friends from school, all of my friends out of school. Then add on all of my friends from Newcastle and Brighton (where I also lived for a short amount of time).
Yeah, on a rough estimate of 250-600. Closer to the lower end of the scale.
People who I'd consider real friends, though. Is a completely different story - 30-100.
It kind of freaks me out when you call me your favourite cheese in capitals. :riiight:Quote:

I'm taking a wild guess at around approx. 500.
I've lost contact with pretty much all of my previous friends. But if I add all the friends (does being a relative count?) I have made about 60-70
I dunno. Maybe 30? Somewhere around there.
But my best friends are each so awesome that they count for 50 normal friends.
On a more serious note... I'm not really sure how many. It depends what you would consider a friend. There are a lot of people offline that I talk to often but still wouldn't consider them a close friend. I probably have six offline friends that I trust completely, and a lot more who I'm friendly with. Oh god I'm so bad at explaining things. As far as online goes, I would consider a lot of people my friends. I have no idea how many. I'm too lazy to think about it.
People I would call a proper friend, I have four. Maybe a couple more, but for definite I could say four.
I have plenty of people who I talk to but for those I talk to often and can relate to, and would consider real friends, most are online. I only really have one offline friend and online about 8. :)
I have many online friends.
In real life I only have two I consider to be my real friends.
omG mie lief suxors i haf no friends they all hate my and they buly me in skool siucide is my only answer....
I'm going to say 30-100. There are definitely a lot more that I talk to on a regular basis, but that doesn't mean I consider them friends.
Trustable friends: 16
ONLINE: Trustable friends: 11
OFFLINE: Trustable friends: 5
Normal Friendship: I can't really say but I consider most of the people I met as a friend.
I have the perfect mix of friends both offline and online. I have my best friend, my exact-same-sense-of-humour friend, my friend of an opposite sex, and my incase of emergency friend.
Stay Essential
EE
I have about 20 friends at skool and i have bout 15 on here and on other sites so i sed 30-100
Why should I count them? :p
I have enough to be happy ^__^ I always welcome more friends, I love talking to people!
Lets just say I can count them on one hand.

I think there's probably about 8 people offline and online who I'd actually consider to be real friends of mine. Like Azar said, I'm friendly with a lot of people, but we're not close or anything. I couldn't handle that many super duper friends.
Are you people counting acquaintances? Because that's the only way I can see *anyone* no matter how popular they are to have more than 200 "friends".
Friends would be people you regularly interact with. Who know you well and who you spend a certain amount of time interacting with. The person on campus you say hi to every 5 weeks or so isn't a friend. That person is an acquaintance. For some reason, it kinda annoys me that people will so liberally pass around the word "friend". My friends mean a great deal to me and I wouldn't give that label to just anyone. Only to the people I really consider to be, you know, friends.
Best friends: 7
Outside circle of close friends: 20 or so
Semi-close friends: 15 or so
Online friends: 10 or so
Acquaintances: hundreds.
Urmm, well I have alot of friends, people who I'll say Hi to if I see, and talk to if Im in lesson with and they also all hang around at the same place as us.
Theres about 10 people who I'll meetup with out of school and whom I consider my best friends.
Let's see, I'll cheat and count online people...
Yamaneko is the only friend I need.
Like I would hang around someone of such low e-class. :foot:
Well, I consider you a friend. And I'm just as much a friend to a lot of other people. Maybe I'm just very open to such things. I'm also a lot more social than yourself.Quote:

Also, if I get close to someone, I can spend a year away from them and then talk to them again as if I just saw them yesterday. An "old friend" doesn't mean "not a friend anymore" as far as I'm concerned.
EDIT: If you wanted to know how many 'best' friends I have, I'd say something more like 5-10. And even one or two of them I don't chat to very often at all these days (although mostly due to stuff like me moving away from NZ, they're still my best friends and I'd trust them with pretty much anything).
30-100 I'd say closer to 100.
I am a very social person. Just not so much online. Not sure why that is, but it's a lot easier for me to make friends and interact with people in person than it is for me to do it online.Quote:

none; I am a badasslonerlooser
11-30 ^^
Everyone else is aquaintance.
11-30 true friends probably mroe towards the 11.
but when me and my one friend throw partys pretty close to a 100 people come claiming to be our friends haha.
erm lots!
On my birthday night out about 20-30 people were there and that was just my close friends (oh and kaggas)
But yeah, erm.... about 100 offline friends (I'm so popular B) ) and about 200 offline.
So 300?
>>> Online: None. Online friendships are weak..
Offline: A couple, well they are not something you can call the best friends ever but I guess they are still friends..
I have about 3 good online friends, then like 2 friends I still talk to from High school. 2 aquaintances from work. Then 1 best friend.
2 of the 3 online friends I could care less about, If I lost my 2 friends from high school oh well. If the 2 people from work left, who cares.
If anything ever happened to my 1 best friend I'd day. Really, I'll only do anything for one person, friend or otherwise.
7 people who think I'll be there for them.
1 person who knows I'm always there.
THEREFORE.
1 friend. =]
Uhm, I don't know the exact number. I'd say in the 250-300 mark. But, I have about 3 really close friends. That's just offline. Online, umm.. too many to count? Been to like 24273984237 forums and such.

So about 30 - 100, guessing around 50 friends.
1 real life friend, and a few online that I truly consider to be friends.
I dont see how people can have like, 200+ people on a MSN contact list, but thats just me. Under 20 for me, usually.
MySpace says I have 70, so about 3.
about 3 or 4 I don't get out much too socialise really
About 10 real friends, and 1 or 2 online people I'd concider friends.
I miscounted. I change my vote from "1-5" to "20000+".
I put 250-600. I think i have around 350 friends. But that doesn't include my best friends. I have around 30 best friends.
haha yea I don't have much friends on here because I am new. Soo befriend me people. thanks
32 and all ofline  *snivel*
ooo well in person i have a lot of friends and a lot of them do go online but most are off and i will be seeing them soon.
Honestly.. Jeez.Quote:

If I had 600 friends I'd prolly end rallying them up into an army. o o.
But you know, that's just me, I can't surround myself with that many types of people and not try to make an army. =[
11-30. I might have more. Didn't count "online friends" 'cuz I don't really have any.
I voted 30-100, Mostly likely it is 50-60 friends I have in total. I've been around, and I don't really count how many friends I have.
I voted 20000+ simply because I can't really be bothered to make an educated guess.
Me back then: 250-600
Me now: hahahahahahahahahahaha
But seriously, the older I get the less liberal I get with the use of the word 'friend'... I guess realistically there are 'active friends' and 'old friends' these days, I probably still have about as many old friends that, if I were to meet them now, I'm sure we'd get along and effectively be friends, but I genuinely may not have spoken to for about a year or more.
I guess I have somewhere around 25-35 active friends these days that I talk to often enough (of which I'd say I'm genuinely close to about 10 of them), and then another dozen or so friends I still actively post with here at EoFF, and after that it's all "ah damn man it's been a while let's catch up" stuff and "I really loved our friendship back then but I'd just feel awkward/annoying if I tried to bring it back at this time" stuff.
"Actively Post". Lolololololol
That's exactly the sort of pithy banter one friend would give to another.
I have no idea, actually. I don't spend as much time with friends as I would like. I tend to meet up with people every month or two but the rest of the time is with family. There are plenty of people I chat with on the phone or text though, pretty much most days. There are also friends that live at the arse end of St Elsewhere (like you lovable dorks) who I meet on a very rare occasion. Those friendships are just as strong though because when we meet up, it's like we've never been away. You are all awesome.
