When Galuf dies in FF V. The most tragic death scene of all FF's. I nearly cried.
I also liked the ending of IX, or when Trance Kuja destroyed Terra, it had a strange emotional feeling to it.
I found the ending of VI the most emotional.
There's quite a few very emotional scenes, I can't decide which is the most touching:
- The scene when all forces unite to battle the Giant of Babel in FFIV
- The death scenes in FFV
- The ending of FFVI
- The scenes with Aerith's theme playing in FFVII (the music alone makes them quite sad)
- Squall's encouraging speech to everyone when Balamb and Galbadia Gardens were fighting on Disc 2 of FFVIII (just before Balamb Garden crashes into Galbadia Garden)
- The ending of FFIX
- The ending of FFX
- The Thousand Words FMV and the scenes after it in FFX-2.

some of the scenes are so amazing. the music and the pure evilness of black waltz 3 in the airship scene makes it amazing and what vivi says in the end sequence which hints thats his time is growing short is so sad. its amazing how sad and emotional and how much video games can make you want to cry. these amazing scenes are what make FF so great. usually in FF9 the touching scenes are about vivi.
number 4. what happened with Aeris was more like a big shock...
I remember the impact Aerith's death had on me the first time I saw it. I will never forget how sad I felt. It doesn't have the same effect on me anymore, but, that moment was pretty mind boggling.

At the end of a Thousand Words in X-2, I felt a huge tug on my heart but no tears or anything :P. In FFX, so many moments really made me feel. Most of the game is pretty sad.

The Opera House, and Celes' reaction to the new world after she wakes up, and the messenger bird comes along and gives her hope.

And about the touching scene, i choose when Rinoa is alone in space, almost dying, and Squall aproach her and hug her.
Every scene with yuna and tidus in FFX was touching
its hard to pick one.
The ending of FFX. That actually makes me cry. And not just the last five minute FMV, but the events after the very last battle as well.

when zidane was having his little emotional breakdown...and everyone came back to help him, and the moment when the spell heal was cast on zidane and dagger came...it was very emotional.

I don't understand how anyone could say that there was a touching scene it FF6. Someone mentoned Gau, he's a retard, nothing too emotional about that.To me, the story lacked plot and depth compared to 7,8, and 9 so far.
Any scene with Squall and Rinoa, I absolutely loved this lovestory. The Waltz on Moon was beautiful and showed their differences, it was cute. When Squall saved her numerous times, it was always romantic.
In FF IX, Vivi's scenes when trying to find out who and what he is. When Zidane and Garnet meet by the outside when she is singing before or after becoming Queen.
the most touching scene for me is the ending of ffix,where dagger even left the pendant only to go to zidane.i mean,zidane would still be there even if dagger picked up the pendant,but she opted to go to zidane instead of the crystal.that,for me,is very touching.
i cant watch advent children cause every time i see areith icry for some unknown reason lol
