Quetzalcoatl pronounciation

im just wondering how you folks say it.
according to Pantheon.org aka encyclopedia mythica, it's:
Quetzalcoatl {keht-sahl-coh'-atl}

personally, i've always said it
Kweh-zack-oh-tull
I make the first T and first L silent

The way you said you have always said it is the way i have always said it.

I use the correct pronounciation.

I just pronounce it how it's pronounced as well.

I sat something like 'Quet-zah-cot-leh'

I think I've kinda read it wrong in my head and said Quez ~ a ~colt.

I always read it Quez-uh-quat-le

Quez. is the name of an Aztec? serpent god. While watching a program about it (a long time ago) the narrator pronounces it this way. I'm not saying that "because the TV said it, it must be true," but those Discovery channel programs can usually be trusted to maintain a certain degree of accuracy concerning such things.

Before you try to pronounce it, you have to spell it right first. It's "Quezacotl". So I pronounce it QWEZ-A-COT-L.

"ket-suh-koht-l"

or "ket-suh-coh-ah-tull"

But then I learned the name and pronunciation from an expert who was teaching us about the culture. I never had to try and figure it out from the spelling.

You can tell if someone has heard it by how they pronounce the {coh'}.

I don't pronounce it the correct way, because the correct somehow sucks. I pronounce it 'Kwez-za-cult'.

Yup.

I always just call him the Q-Man when talking about him. I try to hide the fact that I can't pronounce anything by using false hiposity.

When I read its name it's just like "kwez" and then into a slur of random sounds in my head.

It's spelled like the Aztec's god's name so I pronounce it the same way my history teacher pronounced it.
