Is there anyone who got the Lionhearth before disk 3, beside me.
There are some requirements to have it...
And you may not need the magazines after all..
Try and figure out.
EDIT: when I say, have it, I mean have it, not just the items...

Yeah, and people have also gotten it on Disc One. I'm too lazy to get all the cards/items/etc., so I don't really care for it.
with correct card trading and refining its supposed to be possible to get on disk 1. on disk two it should be too hard because in the garden can go nearly anywhere apart from a few islands and esthar. on a few cheat websites and probly game FAQs .com it says how to get it in disk one.
How do you get it on disc 2?
=/

When I got to Balamb junk shop, it was avaible.
so then I Played cards to have all the Items
I got the Lionhearth after Tribia Garden and before Galdian Garden attack.
I gotten my favorite GF Ceberus with my Favorite Sword
I've beaten Seifer with 1 renzokuken
As well as Edea... she didn't had time for Maelstorm...
You don't need to read the Weapons Monthly magazines in order to upgrade your weapons. You just need the specific items required to remodel them in your inventory and enough Gil. The magazines just tell you what items are needed, nothing else.
Yes, it is possible to get the Lionheart in Disk 1/Disk 2. It requires a lot of card playing though. You will have to do the Seifer trick in order to get the Dragon Fangs too.
I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) you do need the magazines in order to upgrade your weapon. The choice of weapon to upgrade is triggered by your viewing of the magazine in the item menu screen just like the options to learn limit breaks. If you don't have the magazine then you won't be able to upgrade your weapon even if you do have the required items. However I have heard stories about acquiring Lioheart in disk one and given that the magazine displaying the prerequisite items is in disk three this conviniently suggests otherwise.Quote:

You actually don't need the magazines; if you have the required items, it'll be available for upgrade.
what is the Lionheart?
If you have Squall's ultimate weapon, Lionheart, there's a chance he'll perform his Lionheart special art when he uses Renzokuken. It hits many multiple times. (Like Omnislash, Blitz Ace, etc.) It'll be pretty much guaranteed to hit for 9,999 each time on a Meltdowned enemy.
You definately don't need the magazines, mobiletype, because I've upgraded to the Punishment myself before leaving for Timber. Once you have the requirments the upgrades will appear in the shops.
All of the Lionheart stuff has always bothered me. They sound too much like Squall's last name, Leonheart. I wish that Square would've given them better names.
They should give Squall another last name. The weapon name sounds god damn cool.Nuff said. And yeah, you don't need magazines to upgrade weapons, they just tell you what items you need becvause i got Rinoa's Cardinal on disk two and i don't even have the weapon's monthly august issue. All you need to do is get the required items,go to a junk shop and you can upgrade.
If you are at lvl100, it will show up (If someone could confirm this...)
So..
If that's the case with the Lionhearth, maybe you can get all of the others weapons too.
It's Leonhart, not Leonheart. The key word ''Hart'' wich means deer, is an animal know to have no heart (don't ask me why, ok!)Quote:

That said, Squall starts off has an insensitif snob that only takes care of himself, finishes with going to space trying to save Rinoa because he loves her...
That why his name is that, finishes with the Lionhearth that makes him almost invincible.
Not really,I got Squall's Lionheart right after Squall returned from outer space and Rinoa's in Esthar while training and they're not at lv100(Squall lv60+ and Rinoa lv45+).
I know, but that's after Disk 3.
In the end of disk 3.
When Squall goes to Estar/Space to save Rinoa.
You probrably have the magazine by then anyway.
Maybe, I did a misquote?
And I'm kind of eager to have DoC too,

(I like that GF in VIII...)
It seems to look a lot like DMC (Devil May Cry)...

Thanks for the reply.
You just need the items to upgrade, not any of that other crap.
Alright... let me know if that works out for you.
EDIT: Alrigth, Rantzien.
Simple example:
You know in Disk 1, in the sewers when you played Quistis, there's the magazine there for the Flame Saber Gunblade, you need it to have the weapon OR level 30 or so, when you go to FH, if you have the level required, you'll be able to have the weapon.
Not everyone had that magazine, at least, not on the first time, but you could still have that weapon because of the items.
And by the way...
To get that magazine; When you play Rinoa after she leaves home to confront the sorceress Edea, There's a sewer cap and you can decent from there to get the magazine. If you forget with Rinoa, go with Squall & Irvine.
It's the only way to get that magazine on disk 1.
I'll test it on my current playthrough, but it might take a while. I need to win 10 more Elnoyle cards and level up to 20-30 so I can get Dragon Fangs from T-Rexaur.
Dragon Fangs from T-Rex?
That's rare...
You can't really have the Lionhearth until late of disk 1.
That's true!
All thoses who says they can aquire it before near the end of disk 1 are lying.
Dude, no. How many times do I have to explain this? The only thing required in order to remodel weapons are the items needed to remodel them. Nothing else.Quote:

Ok then,
Just one thing, you can't have the Lionhearth before late of disk 1 anyway, can you prove me wrong?
The way I do it, I prefer not refine the cards. Only Adamantoise can drop the rigth items to make adamantines.
BTW: I play the PC version and not the PS version.
I never said you were wrong about that. The earliest you can get it is after you defeat Sacred and Minotaur and get their cards.Quote:

Actually, you are correct and I'm wrong, Sorry about that!Quote:

That boss doesn't drop any Adamantine but Orihalcon (Haven't tried beating him at high lvl, can you send me good references?) Gamefaqs or something.Quote:

You can beat Adamantoises at Dollet beach, but only if you're lvl100 will that monster drop it... and you should be more than half way through the first disk (before the second Laguna Flash).
The rest is pretty good.
If you have a pocketstation, you can play the chocobo mini game to earn items (rare items) easyly (and repeat) but for some reason, all ten times I tried I didn't get a single Adamantine... wich I usally do have.
Maybe it's for you not to get Lionhearth and the other items at start(disk2), but if someone could confirm me that you can have them ''you just weren't lucky'' that'd be great.
ARE YOU CRAZY?! Do you know how long and how hard that thing is hard to kill, especially if you have to restart! You must be COMPLETLY INSANE!Quote:

Putting forth all of that effort just to upgrade to the Lionheart so early on is just a waste of time. It isn't that incredibly awesome.
That's just what I think, anyway.
I find it hard to believe that X-ATM092 drops Adamantines...
Can you give me a good source or reveral of that happening?
I agree. It just makes the game less fun. I always make sure to get the Punishment before my first mission to Timber however. That doesnt take too much work at all. ;)Quote:

There should be more Soldier Challenge.
After disk 2, you don't really see any other soldiers after that.
And Lionhearth can be aquired at disk 1,
But that's makes the game too easy...
Ok, if you want to get lionheart at disc one, you refine minotaurs card, you mug elastoid or get them off belhelmel and get the dragon fangs from card refinment or monsters.
once the Garden becomes mobile under your control on disc 2 it is fairly simple to get the Lionheart. you can Dragon Fangs from Blue Dragons near Trabia Garden and you can steal Power Generators, which refine into 20 pulse ammo each, from Blitz enemies near the Centra Ruins and those are the only difficult items to find.
I usually get the Lionheart asap once the garden is mobile just so I dont have to worry about upgrading later on
All except this game, I've gotten it on disk 2. But it's been so freaking hard to get 2 adamantines without modding Minotaur. And the dragon fangs are the worst. I'm currently in disk 4, right before Ultimecia's castle and still haven't gotten it. And I plan to fight Omega Weapon too lol.
i spent over an hour at a time with everyone at level 100 and zell having rare item and i have not gotten one freaking fang.
You might have been too high in level. I'm not sure about the level spans, but I think most monsters that drop Dragon Fangs do it at level 30 - 60. Try using Tonberry's LV DOWN ability to get them within the span.
I've heard that high level Anacondaurs drop them too, but they've only dropped Dragon Skins for me. You can find them around Dollet if you want to give it a try.
Apparently you can also mug the Blue Dragons. They are the most likely to drop them.
those are your levels and your on disk 3?????
As much as I like Selphie, it would be my last choise against Omega Weapon, since none of her Specials can attack him.
