Xbox Live Gamertags

Azar gave me the idea for this thread. My apologies if it already exists. Post your xbox live gamertags here... maybe we can all meet up and play.

My Gamertag is Azar42. I'm online fairly often these days, and can play Halo 2, Call of Duty 2, or Burnout Revenge with anybody interested.

Mine is 'Barefooted Hobo'.

JKTrix, 360 only. Halo 2 multiplayer doesnt' work for me cuz I can't download the freakin' maps.

No HDD? Either way, you should still be able to play custom games fine. I suggest you invest on the Harddrive, though; it's hardly worth having a 360 without it. Although, if you wait a year, it's possible they'll release a bigger one that's a better value. Who knows.

We can do some GRAW multiplayer.

@Azar: I have the harddrive. Killed it with FFXI, which I hardly play. I can't download the multiplayer maps that are required to play online for Halo 2, it says something about 'corrupt' or whatever. And nowhere in my little country sells the 'Multiplayer Pack' disc.

I play DOA now and then, GRAW fairly often, Table Tennis sometimes, Burnout occasionally. If I'm not on my DS or trying to finish some old RPG on my PS2.

Can my friends play online games without the hard drive?

I'm sure they could, but you wouldn't be able to download additional content or save anything (unless you have a memory card). If someone bought an HD-less 360 they fell into MS's trap :P

You only need the hard drive to download demos/trailers or play original Xbox games.

Silver accounts are only good with 360s, and I don't have one. Plus a 360 can't play all of the old regular Xbox games I want... not yet anyway.

I just got a 360 right, so I thought about making an Xbox live account, but it wont let me. I grab the ethernet cable outta my PC and throw it into my 360, test connection and it says something like IP address failed. WTF mate.

Also, my dads paranoid about it and doesnt believe its 5 dollars a month and that I cant pay for it and itll screw everything up and i dont even see the problem if millions of people do it.

Did anyone get Street Fighter 2 for XBLA? I'm up for a game.

Most of the reviews I read said it had some really bad lag online, which is pretty disappointing. Is it really worth the 10 bucks?

I haven't played it online yet, but the arcade mode is pretty darn hard. Besides the fact that the 360 D-pad isn't all too great for fighters, the timing seems a bit off.
I suppose it's worth $10 if you never played it before, but you don't have to pay $10. I think you can still play unranked online matches with the trial version, but you can't access practice mode.

It's laggy at times, but still great fun.

I'm terrible though. I haven't played the game in probably a decade.

I downloaded the trial cause my dad is crazy when it comes to using his credit card even though I'll pay for it. But I cannot fraking spin kick with Ryu. I always jump. The joy stick is a lot easier for diagonals. And Guile has to be one of the hardest charcters to play as. I hate the damn charges.

If anyone is up for a game of CoD2 or Far Cry Instincts Predator add me.

Here's a tip for the jumping thing: Go to your Gamer Profile (press the Guide button, it should be right at the top), then go to 'Game defaults' or something like that. I believe the setting is under 'Action Games', there's something where you can change the D-pad sensitivity. Set it to 'Low'.

I had a similar jumping problem in DOA4, but after I changed the sensitivity it pretty much disappeared.

He's a PC gamer. I wouldn't say he's the best, because no matter how good you are there's always someone better.

He does win all the tournaments though.

KaizeruRyuu - I mostly play on Forza Motorsport 2 and Halo 3, although I just got the 360 like 3 days ago and and just started playing Blue Dragon

Righto, I'm finally trying to set up my Xbox Live account. There's only one problem; the gamertag I used on my Xbox 360 playing offline (before I even figured out the way around my school's ban on connecting consoles to the internet) is taken, so I had to make a new one. The only problem is that none of my achievements are on the new gamertag, and I can't find a way to combine the two. Does anyone know of how I can fix this, or am I just gonna have to get all the achievements all over again?

I don't think so. I can check and see if there's someway to rename your offline account when I'm at work tomorrow, and then let you know.

I found a tutorial for merging the gamertags by changing the names, but I couldn't get it to work. Since I've only set up a silver account, I think I'll just change the name on my offline gamertag to something that's not in use and use that to set up a gold account and ditch the silver.
