Well, which Final Fantasy has the best opening scene? Either if it is FMV's or whatever.
My favorite opening scene is that opening FMV of VIII. With that song, Rinoa, Squall and Seifer fighting, all those FMV flashes. And I love 'Liberi Fatali' It's very emotional, I think. It also makes you want to play the game immediatly because that FMV makes the game seem so awesome. Yes, in my humble opinion this is the best opening.
So, what FF has the best opening in your opinion?
FF9. It just sets up the the game so well.
Yuna's performance of 'real emotion' in x-2's pretty cool. but i think i gotta say X's intro is the coolest. the blitzball game intertwined with the destruction of zanarkand just looks badass!

VIII easily has the best opening fmv. The whole FMV was amazing, and the fighting ebtween Squall and Seifer must be one of my favourite parts.
But as for being a good beginning and drawing the player straight into the game, I liked the way FFVII opned, with the mission to blow up the reactor.
I think FFX-2 had the best opening scene, with the dancing and the awesome song and all, and :love: Rikku :love: and Paine beating up security guards. That was so kickass.
The FMV for FFVIII was pretty awesome, but I'm still gonna have to say FFX had my favorite.
It's really hard to choose. VIII, IX, X, and X-2 all had great openers.

This is a toughie. For me, it's between Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy X.
I love the game of Final Fantasy Tactics, because it have a dramatic story and a lot of strategy, and i love that things!!!:love:
8 hands down, bar none. awesome music, sweeps right into the intrigue, gives bits of hints at the later game. beautiful
The opening of FFVIII, with Squall VS Seifer and the opening of FFX showing the Blitzball tournament and Sin attacking Zanarkand. Both openings feature awesome background music, 'Liberi Fatali' (FFVIII) and 'Otherworld' (FFX)

FF8 EASILY IMO. It had awesome dramatic music, a sweet fight scene and gorgeous graphics.

I've only seen five of them but out of those it is VIII's
VIII, but VI has a nice opening too. Especially if you consider the age of the game. The Magitek soldiers on their way to Narshe. Chilling.
The FMV for the PS1 version is also really good.

VIII, VI, and IX had the best opening scenes in my opinion. Yes, I have a hard time picking one when it comes to most things.

FF6 for me. The snow march. Mysterious, enchanting and captivating. The first game to me that opened like a movie. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it. I could tell it was going to be something special.
As far as best FMV opening I think 8 was the best

most of them are great. id probly say FF8 though.
it's important to the storyline and the fight is pretty cool. FF7 and 9 are good but nothing too special or interesting to me. in the FF8 one the words on the screen of the promise scene in disk three are very good. FFX's is really cool but id have to say FF8.
FF4,5 and some of the other old ones have good opening becuase of when the main theme plays and the words scroll down. that theme thats played in most of the FF's is the tune that FF fans should salute.

Final Fantasy VIII. Hands down.
FF8 has the best opening, I think. With the promise flashing through the screen, and different FMVs through the game put together, PLUS Liberi Fatali in the background, I think FF8 wins.
FF VIII, followed closely by IX.
VIII had the best with X-2 in a close second.

3rd. VII, just because it was the 1st FF game that i played and i was very excited
