So... Why did you choose your user-name?

After reading through a lot of the Threads, I've noticed many, many, many interesting usernames. I was curious... why did you choose your user-name? Apart from the Final Fantasy inspirations, was there any other reason why you chose your user-name (I quite like the name: Loony Bob :D Is that because Bob is a... loony? And I like the name Old Manus too)

As for mine... I chose it because my favourite band is God Forbid and my favourite guitarist in that band is Dallas Coyle. I switched the 'a' to an 'e', miraculously coming up with 'Dellas' and I chose the number 18 because it's my lucky number (That sounds like a boring story but I think Dellas18 sounds quite cool :P)

So... what are your reasons? :mog:

I chose KFCruelty because I was Anti-KFC at the time.

I chose Jellisaurus because I was playing Ragnarok Online at the time and liked the little Jelly things and because I saw someone say the word Jesusaurus in a chat room once and found it funny.

I chose Craig because that's my name.

A cool sounding typo initially.

It doesn't really make sense anymore. And it makes me typo both 'no' and 'mercy' a helluva lot.

Because about a week ago i was really into blitzball... now it's kinda boring again...

A huge story that has to do with my love for Forces on PSO. In short, I got A Link to the Past, then when I played PSO again, chose the elf dude (FOnewm), and I wanted to try out another force. I figured "I'll make a midget FOmar.", so I did. I looked into the booklet of FFX and went into the credits, and saw the name "Kentarou". Then, a long while later, I'm playing with my Green Hat wearing, Orange Haired, lvl 62 Kentarou, and a stumble across an old site called EoFF. At first I wanted to rant about how some pages were red and others were blue, but then I joined the forums instead. I went with my FOmars name, Kentarou. Shortly after, I became obsessed with FFXI. And I was the master of stupid newbs. >_>

So that's the short story about my User-Name. I ditched the lame Hunters and came out on top with the totally 1337 forces! :D

I like both Quistis and the color orange. ....it sort of went on from there.

AdVenT was the most random thing I could think of.

I was trying to come up with a new nick back then, and I was starting to get interested in FFs. My two favorite Square games used to be Final Fantasy VII and Chrono Trigger, so I named myself after them. Those two games are still very high on my list of favorite SE games, although they aren't my favorite two anymore. Even though more people probably know FFVII better than CT, I still have a feeling most people remember me from the 1999AD ending. If I changed my nick to SephirothSomethingRandom, nobody would recognize me anymore, but if I changed it to SomethingRandom1999AD, something tells me people would still know who I am. :p

Well, my original username was RikkuYuna89, because I was unoriginal and 12. In #eoff, BoB ended up calling me Rye, and the name stuck. Everyone started calling me Rye, and since I was sick of my horrible username, I changed to Rye. It was a good change, especially because most people weren't confused and they knew I was RY89. :)

Because it's the best username ever. :|

A few reasons...mostly cos im dichotomous myself. Also, I entered my real name in a al bhed translator one day, and kept running it through til a got a real word. Almost Lost Number.

I decieded that my former username was complete crap. And I liked Sephiroth better. That's basically it.

I choose my username because Aeris is my favorite Final Fantasy character and she is a good person so that is where I got Pure Aeris. To me, I think that I am beautiful so I wrote beauty and I got 7 from Final Fantasy 7.:) :kaocheer:

My first name, Thanatos189, was just something I thought sounded cool. My current one, Mythra, is the name that the band 30 Seconds to Mars uses as a name for their really cool phoenix logo. So I just chose that

We had found a bright star and we decided too because...well...we were bored(and the angels old us too. So we followed it and decided to bring gifts cause we felt the birth of a new Queen. Well we get their, and we see a little Christmas. I give her a Casino Coin, Levian gives her some ale, Old Manus gives her a hat of the finest plastics made with red and white ball on the end. An angel them comes and calls me Jackpot. So yeah thats the story of how i got my awesome name. Oh yeah at the end we all got ice cream and decided to go to a RammStein concert.

Umm, let's see. Cipher's a tool for encrypting stuff...and I have this habit of making simple stuff sound complicated because of how I explain it. I've been using this username for a looong time. Before the whole Matrix thing, and before the Pokemon Cipher craze. >.<

But THE JACKEL is another story altogether, namely being I think JACKAL is awesome, and I am THE one and only JACKAL, that's right me. I also name the main character in most of my games JACK.EL (no period) with an EL, just someone made it so I can't type it that way. Anytime I write any variation of jackel it automatically gets capatilized and with an al, no idea why or who did that.

Doomsday because it was a Final Fantasy site, and I needed something at least slightly related to the game. Then I changed it to Del Mordor as a knock on Del Murder. Finally I changed it to Doomie because I think that was my nickname or something. Or actually, people called me Doomy. But then Doomgaze made a thread and started whining, thus it changed to Doomie.

Yes it is pronounced like Fiona, thanks :p. I think my dad was a little out of it when he changed the spelling. At first I was going to use the username Yunalesca, but decided against it.

It is one of my real-life nicknames, so... I've thought about changing it a lot of times, but I've decided not to - at least for now.

The JK in my name stands for "Jedi_Kakarott", my original alias on the interwebs and some online shooters (mostly the original Unreal and UT). Trix came up from one of those 'hi score' games when I was younger, the first time I did it and I could only put 4 characters. This was around the same time i was learning algebra, and that the curvy 'x' was a 'variable', so I put in the first 3 letters of my real name and then 'x' for the last letter. It's stuck since.

I liked the name Evastio ever since I was a kid.

Dante= My favorite name. 9= My lucky number. V= Verison. You get it.

I chose it because I had to select one in order to complete my registration.

I was mulling over it, and my mind wandered to one of my more recent obsessions, Legend of the Five Rings, which is based around the philosophies in Miyamoto Musashi's Book of the Five Rings. He identified five elements, Earth, Fire, Air, Water, and Void. Obviously Void is my favorite.

The "Behold the" part came in because it sounded cool to encourage people to contemplate oblivion.

Especially people who've seen my room.

Anyway, I rather liked that name, and thus it became the name I use everywhere.

Anyways, my name came from a song my dad used to sing to me, i think he actually made it up, because I've never heard it, only from him. Also the fact that I love to stargaze. the child part is because I consider myself a child at heart, and I probably always will be.

First it was Nutshell because of the Alice in Chains song, then it was Mojo Pin because of the Jeff Buckley song. Now it's Omecle because I used a random fantasy-name generator for my FFXI character, and stuck with it since.

Well i fancied a change from my previous username, and i spent time thinking, i though of Midnight, or something realted but i finally decided on Darkness, then i though of something to come before it, haze, dark (Oh dear, dark darkness?!) and i went with deep, the choice to use '3' comes from playing online games with freinds who use that too much!, But hey, i thought it looks cool...:tongue:

I made this name almost 5 years ago, and I've just used it ever since for most internet things. I wish somebody would tell me what it means I can't figure it out.

Lasuria was a character name from a computer game (online rpg you make your name) that I created in about 5 seconds when trying to say something very different drunk, the character was a psycho drow elf bitch (pardon the term staff but it's the best for the character)

Iceglow was another character name I made for the same game for a friend it was an imp which were a major magic race and so it fitted well.

It's the name of a roleplayng character I've had for years, which in turn I ripped off a DBZ fanfiction. Before that I was called Werecanary, because it was the translation of an old username I had in a forum and I thought that it sounded funny.

My nickname in school,...yes really and at home...actually everywhere I go...

me and bri were so best friends, people thought we were twins. in our rpg's online (made up storylines people did back in the day all the time like dungeons and dragons) and i couldn't think of a good name to suit me. she was kameko which means everlasting serinity or something like that in japanese, so, since we were alike, yet different, she suggested yuki, which means snow. (unfortunatally usually a boys name). snow is cold, independant, never the same, yet serine (like me). thats how we were the same yet different, like all twins ^.^. she just came up with hitaru as a last name. dunno what that means.

I got mine from the very first boss in Devil May Cry 3 :D

A commercial for Ghost Recon gave me the ghost part and the character Havik from Mortal Kombat Deciption gave me the chaos part.
