Since both of these systems are backwards compatible, will you get rid of your GCN or PS2 when you get their next-gen counter-parts?
I think I might sell my GCN, but my brother might want it when he goes to college. Same with the PS2.
How about you?

I keep all of my consoles. I'm a collector.
No, If I want to play imported PS2 games, I need my PS2. I pretty much keep all my consoles on one stand anyway. My PS2 sits beside my Megadrive and Saturn still. I just have to fiddle around with the wires to change console.
Even when I purchase a Wii, I'm keeping my Gamecube because of the Game Boy Player. I love playing GBA games on my TV:D
I'm not even sure if I'll purchase a PS3, so I'm keeping the PS2 for now
i plan to keep all my consoles. i made a mistake selling the very first Nintendo console. i don't know where i'll store them all, but they're all safe...
As long as my systems are still working, I'm keeping them.
I still have a PS1, not the little one the boxy big one that came out first. Also i still have a 64 so i'll be keeping them and i only plan on getting a ps3 and the Wii, cause xbox 360 doesn't appeal to me i'll just keep my xbox.
Isn't the PS3 meant to be region free?Quote:

I'm giving my PS2 away as soon as I get a PS3.

No, the PS3 is region free for Blu-Ray discs, unfortunately, past Playstation imports still wont work :cry:Quote:

The GC is already sat on top of the Xbox
I traded my playstation in when I bought a PS2. I would—in theory—do the same when upgrading from PS2 to PS3/GCN to Wii/Xbox to Xbox 30/whatever. I feel it saves space and money.
Judging by my experiences with the PS2, the PS3's build-quality won't be too great, and on my old PS2 the backwards-compatibility was the first to go. Plus, I like to keep my old consoles around for old times' sake. They'll just go up in the attic or something.
I will always cherish the awesome moments.
I'll still hold onto my older systems, because if the Wii and 360 I plan on malfunction (which, knowing the quality of Nintendo's systems, is probably not going to happen), I still want to play the GCN/XBOX games I have while I try to get a replacement.

I may not use them as much, but I'll keep them. I still have all my old systems, so yeah.
