Im skinny..looks like I'll die lonely

Where as I have a good heart and a very loving personality. I am skinny so I fear that makes me automagically undesirable. My self esteem is ok . But like most people I acknowledge stero types with the human race. Sterotypes that most people acknowledge. Chicks like the bigger guys. Im small and skinny, I blame my genes and the fact that I dont do sports or anything like that. All and all I think most chicks find skinny guys undesirable at a large scale just by 1st sight. Women like the bigger man I suppose. So I feel that the skinny guys are basically dorked. I would post this in EOEE but I was banned from there for being a little too inconsiderate and unthoughtfull. So. This is basically , for once, again, a girls thread to talk about skinny guys and if they could or would have been able to have a chance with you.

If she turns you down for a date or whatever because you're skinny, she's obviously too shallow for you to form a decent relationship with anyway, and I'm assuming that's what you want.

AN EDIT OF SOME KIND! HOLD THE PHONE! I just weighed myself and calculated my BMI, and it seems I am no longer underweight. I am "normal". I'm sorry, skinny guys. I sold out. :(

It depends on how skinny you are. Sticks of either sex are unattractive to pretty much everyone, I'd say. But yeah skinny is better than macho.

Yah, I had a chance with 2 dates actually in high school but I kind of messed it up but it wasnt because I was skinny. I guess you guys are right. I'll keep reading the replies though , they are interesting.

While skinny boys are hot as all get out, I do not want a boy smaller than I am. And I am not skinny. Even for a boy.

I'm 20, I'm 5'9" and I weigh 130

however, I am a lot stronger than I look and I do have muscles (that you can see if you ever get to see me unrobed, but they're not big or obvious)

It's not about how much you weigh, but I mean I'm sure most girls don't want to weigh a lot more than their bf, but sometimes they do weigh more. You have to learn to be a charmer to get the girls, like me!

Well, truly, if the girl automatically labels you with this form of biased perception, than I question how truthfully deep and complex she may be.

And I have yet to experience the sort of stereotyping that you speak of. I will admit that I have not dated much, and have been dating my current girlfriend for ten months now, but in all the times prior to finding a decent, lasting relationship, it was NOT due to the fact that I was too skinny.

I mean, with my girlfriend, she could have chosen many, many things to distance herself from me, for many aspects that I care not to speak of become readily apparent when I am met in person; however, she looked deeper, and found someone she loved. If she can overcome all of the [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img] that I had when I asked for her to follow me in the sense of romantics, then I imagine that you will one day find a girl caring enough to see past a simple aesthetical quality/fault/wahtever.

Skinny is better than fat, but too skinny is not attractive. Not to me anyway. I like a nice healthy weight. I don't want the guy to be smaller than I am. And that doesn't make me superficial. I just have my preferences.

5 feet tall and 135 lbs is not in the least skinny. If you're skinny, then I think you're mistaken about the weight and/or height, try again ;) I'm 5 feet tall and 95 lbs, and I'm fairly normal, although by American standards people will often call me skinny.

Psh, I'm as skinny as they come and I've never had too much trouble getting the girls I like. So long as you can be yourself and have fun with them, be happy and confident, then you should be okay. Charisma and a good heart are far more attractive things than a bulky body.

I've dated guys skinnier than me, looks aren't an issue to me, I'd rather date a guy who is skinnier than me than a guy with muscels.

i used to be much more attractive when i was thinner. I say thin because it is a better adjective than skinny.

I was 130 lbs and 5'10, now I'm 165 and 5'10. Some people say I look a lot healthier and better but i have a little bit of a bread basket and pouch for a belly, but you really cannot tell at all.

Either way, my boyfriend is super skinny and kinda toned. I find him attractive. Besides, it may not be because you're skinny, maybe you are just ugly?

Maybe it isn't your look, maybe it's more of the way you act around girls. If you shy away etc, that might turn them away from you.

But yeah... I have a 26"(inch) waist and weigh 130 lbs, and most people think I'm skinny. But of course, that's probably because the Air Force does a waist measurement and you get 3 tries to get below a 29 inch waist, and they only measure me once. I was actually the skinniest person the last 4 times they measured me. But... I just have no fat, I do have some muscle, but not a whole lot. Enough that I'm not a weakling, but not enough that it's really noticeable.

Until children, I was kinda thin, but I've always been attracted to big guys. I'm about 5'2 - 5'3 and every guy I've seriously dated has been at least 6'0. Hubbie is 6'2. It's not because I'm shallow, its just what I'm attracted to.
Anyway, you shouldn't change who or what you are, based on two rejections in high school. There are plenty of girls out there who would be attracted to you...

I was skinny for years, I had been swimming since I was 11 years old, I was actually called an, "anorexic mother smurfer," once upon a time. I am 5'10" and weighed about 150. Now I am 5'10" and weigh 170, but am getting to about 160 by the end of August, I got a little fat in my old age (21).

I gave up swimming about one year ago and cooked for myself this summer, gaining about 15 lbs. I'd rather be skinny than fat, how about you? Thin is attactive, especially in college.

honestly, in all reality, maybe you're just unattractive, lovehurts, and if that's the case, you'll just have to find someone that matches your level of misfortunate aesthetics, or wait to find a pretty girl who likes you for you. However, it's a plus if the guy has a nice bod. EVERYONE prefers personality over looks, but of course you must be attracted to them first. I don't know a single person that would actually want to BE WITH someone who was just a horrible person even if they were gorgeous. They may want to hook up with them sometimes but not actually be with them. The idea of personality over looks means that eventually it doesn't matter how they look, they could become less attractive to you, they could get disfigured you'd still love them.

For example, you could be in a bar and see a girl that isn't what you look for looks-wise but she could be the nicest girl on the planet inside, but because there is no physical attraction to her, you'll never find that out.

^ It's not that you have to feel a physical attraction to want to get to know someone. Maybe if he does something curious in class or has something that interests you, like a cool bag or a magazine or a videogame and you'd notice, then you'd ask him if he's into that and then the conversation could progress from there on.

You don't have to have a crush on someone to get to know them.

Still however, that would come back to how the guy actually acts, which is a point that had been raised throughout this thread. If you have nothing at all physically that interests someone or don't do anything to get attention, chances are, they won't get to know the real you and be stuck looking at your exterior.

I'm sorry, if you're never physically attracted to someone, you will never be with them. Trust me. I have female friends that think I'm the greatest guy in the world. And they love me, as a friend, because they never had that physical attraction to me. Physical attraction is important to start a relationship.

I don't claim to be a good example or anything, but I'll talk to anybody who talks to me first, and manages to hold my intrest in the conversation considering that I hardly ever start conversations with people, male or female. A random guy can intrest me without being attractive at all.. maybe it's just me?

On the dvd on nightmare before christmas in special features you see his 1st film. It was simple but really cool.

Over wieght. I look around and I see some further south but where I live we need Jesus's second coming so that he can drive trucks into town and feed the multipitude with fish and bread and all of that good stuff.

It's not horrible being skinny but its terrible to be weak inside. Im not the type that acts that way in life, maybe every once awhile at the forums due to poor choice of words but no.

I'm never serious, so I wouldn't let it keep you up at night. I'm just very skinny too, that's all I meant. I could just say what I mean, but that's about as much fun as a PSP.

i think diffrent girls like diffrent dudes some like big buff dudes some dont and it depends on how your face looks in general and how your personality is cause some girls can love the way your face look or your bersonality a whole lot more than your body trust me cause im not all small but there is room for plenty more muscle but im straight pimpin three girls right now lol

Not everyone is dissing muscle. I also have light muscle etc but I can see that everyone has preference. Even then most people here have said they don''t like big buff men, which leads me to think of big muscleheads. Am I right?

I like my man-meat lean. My husband is skinny. He's 5'11" and 125 lbs.

I am very skinny. I had an eating disorder when i was 3 so i am not very tall either. So i feel ur pain dude, i rly do.

Its human instinct for women to be attracted to guys with muscles and men to be attracted to girls with curves and boobs but in this modern world you just got to work with what ya got if your personality isn't good enough and they just care about your body then you probably shouldn't waist your time with them anyway.
