The cover looks a bit odd. But Nintencats would be infinitely better than Nintendogs, because having a trained cat is cooler than having a trained dog.

Cats never do anything interesting in real life, so why a game?

As far as I know, this is still "in the planning stages", so to speak. Hideki Konno said a while ago that they aren't excluding the idea of using other animals, and that they already have some models and voice data and such done. I don't think anything else has been confirmed about it though, but since Nintendogs was a pretty good hit (6 million sales as of last March), they may be working on it.

And obviously, Cats lick one another. >_>...

To stay on topic though, I think Rase is correct that Nintencats is still "in the planning stages". This is probably a mock-up case someone made.

Look, guys. Cats don't really ignore you, the only time they DO ignore you is if you mistreat them. My old cat was about as smart as if she were my own child. She understands when I talk, when I call her, and she even talks to me. Sometimes when I turn on my Dreamcast and put in a fighting game she'd run into my room, sit on my bed, and watch me play. Whenever I won she'd come and let me pet her as a way of saying 'good job, daddy'.

They should make a cat game for the DS, it'd give people who are allergic to cats a chance to actually see how cool they can be.

My cat pukes under all of the beds and tears the couch to shreds and wakes m up in the middle of the night for no reason. My other cat had a biological piss-fest everywhere and my house smelled like....well... piss. But I still love em'! But not enough to buy this game.

Cats are the coolest animal ever. My cat is. She likes Naruto, no lie, she comes running in my room every so often to watch it. But what this game needs more than a ninja cat is that evil cat from Azumanga Daioh. A cat that bites everyone is awesome.
