Move the pointer to Blitz.
Click the action button.
Insert technique.
Left Right Left in this case.
Then click the action button again.
This should work in most cases, unless the enemy is five naked chicks. In which case you need to turn off the playstation, then call me and tell me all about it over a six pack of beer.

does the game actually tell you how to do pummel? or do you have to guess or something because as far as i can see. the only way to know how to beat vargas is to ask someone who already ready knows how to do pummel. does the game at some point say how to do it?

No way! Keep all the tension you can. CAuse if you cannot do this you will FAIL. And FFVI is programmed to make your life fail if you fail at the game. (blame Bantam) NO FAILING. . IT IS BAD1
Just look at the screen, and just DO IT!
You have to do it pretty damn fast though.
Don't blame me, blame the minorites.
Use the force, neokeymaster. If you're in a jam just powerlevel and kick his ass so hard he'll be sent to hell and back, nothing is wrong with that.
Just remember to heal as he has 11,600 hit points so it takes a couple of minutes to defeat him.Quote:

If you're having trouble with Pummel, which is by far the easiest Blitz, then you are really going to have a hard time with his other ones.
Bantam, you don't have to take out all of Vargas's HP, just about 1400 and you win.
gyrus, I'm pretty sure there isn't a time limit for executing Blitzes.You just have to put it in right.
