Ah, a hair thread. Doesn't matter to me, long or short. Hair is one of the many things that define a character's looks and looks are one of the many things that define a character. Looks, smarts, personality, judgement, conscience are the five biggest things that define a character imo.

I thought she looked kinda odd with longer hair, like, a majority of characters in FFIX were already VERY young and child-like looking, and I think long hair sort of took away from the rest of her, if that makes any sense.
Also, it's a fact, shorter hair on women gives the impression of confidence to others. To add another (depressing) fact, women with longer hair tend be more susceptible to rape as 1) they look weaker and 2) rapists can just grab them by the hair.
I guess it just asks this: Do guys prefer strong women or weak women that they can take advantage of? ;)

The only girl (real or not) that I have ever liked better with short vs. long hair is Sakura from Naruto (she looks dumb with long hair.)
Glad someone made a topic on this.. I hated it.. I couldnt believe Square had to ruin the cutest character in the game.. Ugh... She really looked like a princess before she cut it, but I just stopped using her after that, she looked awful
(Appearance means lots to me, which is why I refused to use Quina)
I like her menu pic better with short hair, but it's pretty long. It's too bad she wore a really ugly tie in it, though.
