What's "boolest"? :p Tough choice between Cecil Paladin, Kain, Rydia and Rosa. Golbez is also a great character, and Cid is funny. I think I'll go with Rydia.

without cid, edge and tellah argueing all the time the game wouldn't be as good or funny. rydias also definetly one of the best.

i like cid edge and rydia more than tellah.

hmm. cid and edge are funny when they argue and its funny when their attaching the drill to the airship and although theirs no talking in that scene, you can imagine whats going on. if im correct it seems like edge goes off and starts flirting with rydia so cid pulls him back. pretty funny. i'll decide a favourite later.

Palom and Porom are definately the boolest, they're just so cute! Rydia's bool too, she comes in an extremely close second for my fave characters.

Sorry Rosa fans, but this is one White Wizard that is most certainly not bool. Don't even think about it.

I don't know about anyone else, but I found her cuteness combined with her mastery of summoning monsters very appealing. And she has an interesting story arc. Plus her character actually ages! More than could be said than a lot of FF charcters.

BTW, was it supposed to be Lydia? Japanese often transposes R for L and Lydia is a real woman's name.

Well, I know that we Japanese have no Ls in our language, or should I say, L sounds. So, I guess it's possible. But, I didn't see "Cecir, Parom, or Terrah" so, not sure on that one.

Also, how do you even pronounce Rydia's name? I've always called her (wry-DEE-ah), but I guess it could be (RIH-dee-ah) like Lydia.

I don't think it's supposed to be Lydia because every translation, even retranslations and fan translations, still call her Rydia. Besides, I think Rydia sounds more beautiful than Lydia, and she's not an ordinary person (she's a summoner, she grows up in the Land of Summons), so the fact that Rydia isn't a real woman's name makes the name even more fitting for her, IMHO.

I have seen some pretty bad translations of character names over the years (the Elements in Xenogears spring to mind). But if it's always been Rydia, then that's good enough for me. :greenie:

I would vote for Rosa, but the poll's closed. Not only is she the most intelligent White Mage/Wizard, but strongest mage of any sort. Her arrows allow her to be as equally strong in the back as in the front. She is also very fast and can act in healing very efficiently.

P.S. Gilbert/Edward is just horibble.

Edge rocks. And once you get him leveled up to the rest of your party he is a hoss in battle as well.
