I don't think you can actually get anti-aliasing in FFXI. The many downfalls of a PS2 port. /sigh
I mean for the PC version. I guess I should have been more specific.
I'm talking about the PC version. It's just a port from PS2.
Changing your resolution and possibly using a Windower is the closest you're going to get to anti-aliasing.

if that was towards me I know what effects anti-aliasing gives.
... pretty much what it says. it antis the alias giving a smoothed less pixelled look... and if you have a crap graphics card.... feel aswell.
A windower? If I had that, I could more likely thean not use ATI tray tools to work. Where would I find one?
I wouldn't, they catch you on the windower, bye bye FFXI.
Only if you use detectable plugins or blabber on about using it in-game. I've been using it since the very first version, never been caught once. ;oQuote:

FFXIPC has 2x antialiasing enabled by default, and it doesn't seem to let you override it with your graphics card drivers. That sucks, cause I really want 4x. The windower doesn't do anything to the antialiasing. However, a plugin for it lets you increase the draw distance by a lot, and that looks nice.

I think the windower should stay as harmless as it is. It keeps S-E from doing their best to stop it.
I wouldn't play the game without Windower, so Squenix gets money from me because of it. I know Miriel is like that too, and I'm sure as are many others. I'm sure they know that and look the other way for that reason.
