Say goodbye to the Dual Shock.

Does anyone actually care what the controller is called ?
That name would stink. Even Dual Shake would be better than that. :-/
IT sounds like sexy some how. ewe. superbliminal advertising!
It's a palindromic word and it has two 'X's, no 'G's, and no 'B's.
Clearly it wins.
Bet you every1 will just call it the PS3 remote.
I never once called the PS/PS2 controller the "Dual Shock", even though that name was laced with wonderful innuendo. It was "the PlayStation controller", and that's what the new one will be called too.
cool. some1 agrees with me.
Though I will say "Pass me my Wiimote" because it's just fun to say.
it's a controller...it is part of the ps3 like the av cable or the power cord...it doesn't need a flashy name...you'd have to give everything a flashy name...instead of power cord, let's call it the gatekeeper of electropia
I hereby dub thee The Playstation (3) Remote. this was the Threadkiller.
a remote is something that changes the channels on your tv...this is a controller....threadnotkilled
I hereby dub the the Playstatio Controller. happy?
always...but even moreso now!
happy joy.
At least it doen't look like a boomerang anymore.
Ahhh those Sony boys. Everytime they start to fade from the spotlight of ridicule something like this pops up ;)
"Dual Schtick" would have been far better.
Palindromes are awesome and all, but...
Controller made of fail.
The only controller I've ever called by a name other than '[system name] controller' is the Wavebird. Since it's the standard controller for the console, it seems silly to spend time coming up with a name for it, but whatever. :p
I really don't care about what the controller is called. I'm never going to say "Hey, could you pass me that SIXAXIS?", assuming I ever get a PS3. The only controller I will call by a name besides (system) controller is the Wiimote.
Also, I no longer consider 1Up to be reliable, anyway.
