They're actually my favorite couple in the game. Even more than, say, Squall and Rinoa.
Clearly they have a lot of interests in common: the welfare of their children, the concerns over the Sorceress power, the foundation of SeeD and gardens.
Cid's good-natured demeanor is a nice counterbalance to Edea's quiet and brooding ways.
I liked them enough to try my hand at writing a pathetic excuse for a fanfiction with them as the main characters. :p

What's so hard to believe about Cid and Edea getting together? They both seem to like helping people. Edea is a Matron in an orphanage and Cid wants to start an academy where SeeDs are trained to protect people from Sorceresses.
and seems as edea is a sorceress, that would repel most men.
Wait, didn't she inheirit her powers years after they got married though? I'm pretty sure she's descended from Sorceresses though. So your point is well taken.
She inherited the sorceress' power twice; once when she was 5 years old or so, and the second time as an adult as can be seen in the ending.
As for Cid, he may be overweight now, but that doesn't mean he looked anything like that when Edea met him when they were younger. Believe it or not, people change as they age.
And that picture of Celine Dion and her husband scared me. *cries*

While I agree with the personality thingy the real reason is mysterious.
Let me explain:
CID KramEr is the elder of Shumi Village which in turn is also VinZer DElINg (Winter Deling),Mayor DObE,rtc..
After the shumis left the village they will evolve.
The elder will evolve to these persons after Dr ODINE possesses him.
Actually we see one of these evolvings when we fight the fake president.Gerogero is in fact a shumi whose shoulder and arm get deformed after it grows (as it is expected from the information).
Edea is also possessed by the doctor and the marrying thing is a pretending thing,some false information to fed our characters up when Ellone(Rinoa) activate their memory.
Read my threads about WOTC to understand how can Cid show on FF8 before the elder left the village.

This is really weird. After FE dissapears, Viator arrives and carries on in the same style. Then Viator disspears, and PAK returns. Then PAK's topic is closed and now FE is back Is there never any peace to be had :eep:

Cid ownes the Garden he is probably a rich man and Edea is simply trying to get all the money to herself after that fat loser dies.
You know what i bet thatīs why she became a sorceress too...Ultimecia didnīt really control her ohhhhhh no she just used her as an excuse to try and kill Cid and get his money that big ****.
