Aije! this is my Ranger vvvv
My main ended up being a Mo/W at some level like 16 or 15, I dunno. My main before that was a E/Mo that I think got to 18, but was too low level to go further in the quests, and I couldn't get anyone to grind with me.
I haven't played actively in quite some time, though every now and again I like to login.
A/Mo Dark Kyuzo Lv20
E/Me Jun Yee Lv20
Mo Drift Blue Lv2
Der/Mo C Paraiah Lv6
I've got like a 20 A/Mo and a 20 Nec/Mo or something like that. I never play anymore.
N/E- Lumbard the Sinner
Mo/(I can't remember)-Pythagorean Theorum
Then some PvP MF Necros. But I don't play much anymore.
His Name was Him- Lvl 20 Mo/Me
Beatrice Lais- Lvl 20 W/N
The Great Quandary- Lvl 20 N/Me
Don't have Factions yet, but I plan on making a Rt/R.
When Nightfall comes out I plan on making a Dervish/something
Rt/R eh.
The Ultimate Spirit Upkeepy thing.
So I started a Assassin/ Necro last night. He's level 12 right now and not doing too bad. I've having some fun with it. Hoping to be 20 tomorrow.I actually got lucky and someone gave me some green daggers ^_^
hmmm... What Necro Att are you using Bert?
At the moment I'm using Vampiric Gaze, Strip Enchantment, Deathly Swarm, and Sould Feast.
this is what I plan on doing
Assassin/Necromancer
Dagger Mastery: 10+1+1
Shadow Arts: 8+1
Critical Strikes: 12 + 1
Death Magic: 2
(no +2 or +3 runes for greater health)
Weapon : Daggers of Xuekao: +15% damage while enchanted, +20% armor penetration, +20% to enchantment duration
1) Plague Touch
2) Soul Feast
3) Utility Special*
4) Critical Eye
5) Way of Perfection
6) Jagged Strike
7) Wild Strike
8) Critical Strike
Anthony Truong - Ranger/Elementalist (Level 20)
Rildar Gainsborough - Warrior/Monk (Level 20)
Vincent Kaylare - Necromancer/Mesmer (Level 1)
Ivan Duijen - Assassin/Monk (Level 1)
Guild Wars? More like Giant Fail Wars? mirite?
Wait, why am I asking that? Of COURSE I'm right.
And before you dismiss this, I've got a Mo/Me in 15k armour, cleared the game, 75% of the skills and an R/Mo on the last few missions, so I think I'm pretty qualified to say that game sucks, kthnx <3
Yes, I hopped on a friend's character for about four hours when I was at his house.
Same old, same old.
I imagine Nightfall will be similar.
The only thing I won't fault the game on is graphics, Prophecies does look beautiful and Factions is just even more so.
Sadly, that doesn't make up for the complete lack of PvE depth, PvP variety, game engine or awful community.
Actually, I could type about 100000000000000 (probably less) wonderful thoughts on Factions Story, I was like "yay they did it right" when I got to the end.... cept that ass of a (SPOILER)Mhenlo Died not >-> though I’m a fanboy and everything.... so weeeeeh!
My only problem with the story was the fact that Eve didn’t get very much character development T-T
But actually, speaking of nightfall, they are mass improving on the PvE (apparently its going to be focused around it) and now we have no need for people, Henchman are now manipulatable :D and we can now use Heroes and pretty much Customize his/her/its att and skills, and well that’s about all I can remember so far :\
So uhh...if you don't need people, why play it online at all?
Just go play Oblivion or something instead.
while everyone died Christmas was too busy taking myspace emo pics from guild wars of herself~
If they had lived, i won't be able to raise minions. They sacrificed for the greater good.
That's right xD
and lindy, gimme your stuff plz thx :p
Can't.
Soulbound.
You dun need a 55 to farm minotaurs, any builds can be used to farm minotaurs and also other stuffs.
Game engine can be kinda suck, and PvP is really straightforward, but I blame the unfunness of PvE on the terrible community as opposed to not giving interesting things to do. Actually, I like the PvE campaign in GW better than any of the other bland stuff you see in other MMOs. It's just impossible to get into a decent group unless you know everyone you're playing with.
Especially considering that the main hubs for social interactions are spammed to death by wts, lfg, or run advertisements, so you can't actually just talk. If you do, you get called a fag and then promptly get flooded out by the messages.
If I could find a solid group to run PvE with, I'd probably still play - I always had a blast playing with my friends before they abandoned it. It's pretty awful trying to get anywhere by yourself. Running with henches sucks and trying to find a group to do anything but missions (and you HAVE TO DO BONUS DUDE I CAME INTO THIS FOR THE BONUS LET'S GET BONUS C'MON GUYS BONUS DUDE YOU SKIPPED THE BONUS THIS IS GAY I'M LEAVING) is nigh impossible.
So yeah. Ruined by a weak community. Definitely.
I managed to get the protector title with PUGs. It can be done and usually takes some patience that's all.
I am 42 minutes away from Drunkard Title :D!
Meh. This might sound weird, but I need two things to sink into a RPG: Story and atmosphere.
The story of Prophecies is the most boring script I've ever read. We went there, killed that, lost a buddy, then went somewhere else, killed something, lost someone again, bla bla bla. Unless there's some major revelation in the end of game that makes you go "Wow! That made sense!" or something else in Sherlock Holmes style, I can say with full confidence that the playwrite needs to be thrown out of the window.
Now to the atmosphere: The music was good, but not for a game that you'll play for a long time. Instead of actually creating an atmosphere, you'll simply turn off the sound and throw some CDs into the drive. Nor do you actually meet people. The fact that the wilderness is simply a bunch of monsters that always spawn in the same location was probably the poorest feature. Like "Ok, guys. Heal up, there'll be two more of those scorpion thingies behind that tree there." And of course, the world was not bound together, which was the worst of all these drawbacks. The map sure is useful, but you know what I mean.
Anyhow, I've got an E/R 19, stuck somewhere in the desert and a R/Mo in the Shiverpeeks. I never felt the desire to buy Factions or Nightfall after the first chapter. Though I loved the graphics, they simply didn't compensate the world of single levels and the lack of something interesting behind half a million of killed enemies.
I could imagine starting playing it again, if I’d get a good team of people that you can actually chat with. I’m in the GMT + 1 zone (Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin).
EDIT: The quests were still the worst. Go there and kill that... or... Go there and bring it back. There were cooler ones too, like go there, kill that and bring it back. Terrible lack of innovation!
EDIT2: I think I've repeated the bit about "the worst" feature a bit too often.;)
Hsu, you should join my guild The Amazon Basin, we did thunderhead keep today and bonus and it was fun as hell, everyones really nice and they all help each other out. It's a real good guild.
It's really hard to get too down on GW for that specifically. I mean, that's all that MMOs really do for most of the quests.
I may have to do that. Now that my friends are abandoning me in WoW, a replacement would be good.
I'm just working on farming :( I need armor :(:(:(
See, my guild has Beta testers, we are a Notable Guild and a Guild of the Week, also were the Guild of the Month for Beckett Massive Online Gamer magazine, also we had a team play in the Guild Wars 5K Arena Tournament where they came in 4th place :p
Guilds existed for me only for the sake of Alliance Battle, nothing else.
My guild does ALOT with me, we do GvG battles alliance, missions, help farm items. It REALLY helps the game out.
Meh, I haven't got Factions, so I couldn't tell.
Someone go and create a EOFF guild.:)
We've had a couple, when GW first came out. Noone really joined them. It's better just to find a guild in game or whatever.
Well that's no good! How are you going to do GvG!? :p
I like guilds that give me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
Edit: Oh dear, that came out wrong...
Amber chunks make better profit than jade, that is why I am in a Kuzricks (or whatever you spell it) guild.
I have done Alliance and yes they are fun, but GvG is also fun :p
Luxons fail.:mad2:
Nowadays ppl see guild wars as a big fashion contest.
I want rare armor! :p
Luxon were pwning tonight :(
mhmmm, we have more korean players, :D
Had everyone got their nightfall? I heard some ppl had already received their Nightfall. :(
I won't be getting it for a week or two :(
Halloween event!!
Everyone get in on it!;)
Some guildies and I dancing by the fire :D
I would! but I cant find where my redirected GW folder has gone T-T
O_o
Got my nightfall~
My hardrive died in my good computer so I won't be playing for whoknows how long. I can on;y play diablo 2 now on my old Imac :(
:(
that games a boooore aswell :[
hope you get your GW back soon.
I'd buy Nightfall... if only I didn't blow my budget on PSU... and soon to be Never WInter Nights 2.
The game is a slight bore... but I play with a rather large group, so it tends to go very well, and its not really that much of a bore.
YA!!!! I did it.
Finally. VICTORY!!!! :jess:
