Personally, I would have changed the line, "you meanie". :nonono: OMG that was so retarded it insults retardedness. I would have added more dialog and more scenes with the other characters in it. And I would have changed Bahamut to look like a real dragon, the kind from FF7, not FF4.:mad: What about you?

well, keep in mind that they took 5 minutes off the end of the story and made it into a movie. Pretty good job of it too, considering. I agree the mother crap got annoying.

I'd have added Chocobos, maybe some summons and a moment when someone uses a spell like Fire, Ice, Bolt or Cure. Hmm, maybe Rufus could have used Fire to set the box with (SPOILER)Jenova on fire just after he dropped it down. It would have been nice to see Gold Saucer too.
I would have changed it from a movie about Cloud to a movie about all the FF7 team. Also, instead of just Kadaj turning into Sephiroth, I'd have all three of them merge together to make Super Safer Sephiroth, who rains down destruction on the planet, and it takes ALL of the characters efforts to defeat him, including all their biggest spells, summons and limits.
I would've liked to see more Reno :bigsmile: He so should've been the main character of the movie :bigsmile::bigsmile:
Right...agree with yuffie...but three sephiroths will make it more interesting...and after losing a little they combined into an ultimate sephiroth...

I would have liked for them to lean Cloud towards Tifa in a more definite manner. A kiss on screen between the two at the end or something would have been good juju. If there is ever another movie sequel anywhere in the future I expect some goddamn spikey-haired babies to be in it.

Personally I would have included the following:
1) About 30 more minutes of characters interacting intserspersed between the fight scenes. The fight scenes were nice eye candy, but the character interactions are at least half of what made the game great in the first place.
2) A little more complexity in the villains. Especially Loz and Yazoo. I would have written a scene where Marlene speaks with Loz and finds that they actually have something in common (a lost mother). Also I would have the villains actually care about the orphan children, even just a little.
BTW, if you really want to see a chocobo race animated, watch Last Exile. There's an episode that should have been titled Gold Saucer.
1.) Make Bahamut's mouth bigger so that it would fit the size of the huge beam
3.) Make Tifa to actually fight the Bahamut instead of standing there!
4.) Make Red XIII have more lines >_>
5.) Changed Kadaj's, Yazoo's and Loz's clothes
6.) Give Yazoo a haircut
7.) Show the actual death of Zack

AGREED. I felt like the fight-to-dialogue ratio in the movie was MORE THAN IN THE GAME. Which is hard to believe. Yeah, the fights were cool, but what carries a film plot (or even a game plot, for that matter) is tension and drama between characters. Sure - Cloud's guilt over Aeris' death and his struggle with that and trying to move on in life with Tifa and the children was a great thing - but how it moved forward was fast. Also, what were the other characters dealing with? Barrett? Red? Yuffie? Vincent? There needed to be more dialogue-driven drama that was not directly involved with the villans.Quote:

I'd also have addressed the big picture - how do you rebuild a society post-meteor and post-Shinra? We see evidence of this - all the homeless orphaned children on the streets - but little else to address this broken, wartorn world. What's going on politically?

Yep Cloud and Tifa together, that would add the extra factor it didnt really need but would hugley improve it!!!!!

d) a good scene jumping out of a speeding train that's set to explode, i always like that in a movie...
e) cloud x tifa, of cloud kicks the bucket, permenantly! seriously, i thought it was such a hard hitting ending it was great, then it continued...why?
f) my name on it, though i did appreciate the little reunion bit at the beginning - oh, and the lazy buggers could have translated that too! fully! not just subbed it! damn that got me pissed..
g) i'm not allowed to moan about the crappy rhymes... :(
