Incorrect
They're probably trying to get you to buy more memory cards.
That would just be silly.
That'd be awful!
*Goes into Cardiac Arrest just thinking about it*
Bullcrap. I read the PSM article and it did not mention this.
That'd make no sense, whatsoever.
The City of Lost Children :eep:
How much memory does one FFXII save take anyway? I think an FFX save took 64 kb, a KH save took 128 kb, I'm not sure about FFX-2 saves (probably 128 kb) and a KH2 save took something like 90 kb. Fortunately I just bought a new memory card, so I'll be able to have lots of saves in FFXII. :D
I cannot think of a single PS2 game which takes anything remotely like that much memory card space up. FFX and X-2 were damned efficient. As were the PS1 games, for that matter. I doubt Square suddenly forgot how to code efficiently and thus require at the least more than half a memory card.
Its not true, you can have around 50 game files on one memory card for FFXII
Tis true, up to 50 game saves, and its 100kb for a FFXII save, as it said at the insufficient space screen :(
I call bullcraps on this one.
Also, the biggest save file I've ever seen is Champions of Norrahs, which is 4something MB.
Yeah, I doubt this is true.
Not true. I have five game saves.
Don't worry, the game actually encourages you to create more slot.
Ah, that's good to hear. It seems SE has learned to manage the memory used for the save games better, since KH and FFX-2 (I think) saves both took 128 kb.
For a Matsuno game, this doesn't really surprise me. FF Tactics also encouraged you to have several save slots because there are moments when you can get totally stuck in the game and be forced to restart if you don't have backup saves of some of the earlier parts of the game.
This is untrue, I have many save files on my game.
Yeah, it is annoying that you can get stuck in a game and be forced to restart it. Fortunately for me, I like having a lot of saved games so that I can revisit the good parts in the game whenever I want to, so if I ever get stuck like that, I usually have an earlier save game, so I need to replay through at most a few hours.
