what is the first Wii game you look forward to taking home?
what is the first Wii game you look forward to taking home?
I swear if one more person makes a catchy title for a Wii thread I'm going to loose it completely.:tongue:
Oh and to answer your question, Zelda. Also, I actually look forward to playing Wii sports with my g/f, so technically that would be the first.
Oh you're not kiddin buddy.
Zelda.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl for me thanks.
I heard there was going to be yet another Resident Evil title for the Wii, but it's not got an official name yet. The first game I will buy is Zelda, though, and I'm also looking forward to some star-collecting Mario game if that comes out.
A star collecting Mario game was at E3 under the title "Super Mario Galaxy". You might want to check it out. The Wiimote is used to move things around Mario, collect moon rocks (which seem to replace coins?), make Mario do the spin attack, and making Mario do the spin attack to reach another planet. The nunchuk controls Mario's running and jumping.
Zelda as well as Red Steel, will be my Wii purchase games (besides Wii Sports)
THE JACKEL
Although I'm looking forward to Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy is firmly placed at the top of my 'Most Wanted' list.
I can't wait to play it.
If I'm going to buy a Wii I'll most likely buy Zelda: Twilight Princess first, and then Super Mario Smash Bros. later on. The Super Mario Galaxy game looks really good too, though.
Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Red Steel, and Twilight Princess are on my list. I'm looking the most forward to Zelda though.
I won't even buy one until Brawl comes out, at which point Brawl will be the first game I get with it.
Smash Bros and Zelda.
If I buy one it'll be to play Zelda
zelda, mario, ssbb, and wii sports
If I were getting one I'd probably get Zelda, but since that's the only game announced that I really have a large interest in, I'll pass on the Wii and get the GC version.
I dunno, it's kinda hard to choose. I think Red Steel, just for the opportunity to experience what it would really feel like to play that with the remote. Though I'm really looking forward to the new Zelda, I don't imagine it being quite as heavily based on the controller's unique functions, which I would really like to experience when I first get the system.
Brawl will be awesome! but I dont think I can wait to get a Wii till then...
think I will go with the Zelda, because knowing Australia.... it most likely wont come out on gamecube.
Probably SSBB or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. For launch titles, I would say Red Steel. Twilight Princess, too.
I laughed for a long, long time after reading that thread title :)
'm having trouble to decide on these three: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Fire Emblem Goddess of Dawn and Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Zelda the most... But I also preordered Red Steel, Elebits, and Excite Truck. lol
For me it's Zelda,Metroid Prime 3,Trauma Center,Red Steel and Rayman:RR(This game looks so fun!) :D
Wii sports by default--then Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Red Steel, Smash Bros. Brawl--then I will buy the classic controller, go home, and buy whatever old-school game strikes my fancy. Big shopping day ahead. :3
Metroid Prime 3
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Galaxy
RedSteel. The game looks pretty sick. So that's definetly up there.
Also, I was doing a little reading, and if somebody can confirm this, is it going to be where you have to purchase a wii remote and nunchuck seperately? You got like 3 different controllers for the Nintendo Wii and it seems you gotta purchase all of them. The Wii controller is $40 right there, times 3, that's $120 on top of the $250 system in of itself. I don't know how much the nunchuck or the classic controller is going to cost, but I'm guessing this system now isn't going to be as cost friendly as we've been all led to believe.
Unless, you play with your Wii by yourself, and you don't have friends cause you suck or something. Then its relatively cheap.
Yes, you have to buy the attachments separately from the Wii Remote. The Nunchuk and the Classic Controller both cost twenty dollars.
Nintendo System = $250
2 games = $100
3 Wii Remotes = $120
3 Nunchuks = $60
3 Classic Controllers = $60
Plus tax = $20
Total = $610
SWEET KILLER DEAL NINTENDO WHOO HOO
His presumed sales tax is weird, but I'll go with it.
Xbox 360 = $400
2 games = $120
3 wireless controllers = $150
Plus tax = $23
Total = $693
PS3 = $600
2 games = $120
3 controllers = $150
Plus tax = $30
Total = $900
And the Wii's "party" games most likely won't require any attachments anyway. WarioWare certainly won't.
Is PS3 now having 4 wireless game controllers than the classic two?
The PS3 actually supports seven controllers. I just accounted for four to keep in line with the other consoles.
Seven controllers is kind of a strange decision for maximum multiplayer options.
Well, the Super Multitap for the SNES allowed for five controllers. Maybe Sony wants to bring odd numbers back into vogue.
I remember Sony bragging about how the PS3 would be able to output to two HD displays at the same time. Funny that they decided to go with 7 players instead of 8, which would at least make sense with that option. Can the PS3 still do that, or has that feature simply been quietly dropped?
Wario Ware will have 5 players for some games.

Could be a typo, but I'm sure it's possible. There are only 4 lights on the Wiimote to indicate which player you are, but that doesn't mean there can only be 4 players. Maybe the lights can be different colours, so 'Blue Player 1-4' would be normal P1-4, and then 'Red Player 1-4' could continue with P5-8. Hmm.
Edit: Or maybe you just pass one controller around to everyone.
