How the heck do you kill this thing? and is there any cure for "x-zone"?
No there's no cure for x-zone, just replace your member if one gets sent to another dimension as for beating Demon Wall. Concentrate only on attacking. Use the braizers to slow down his movement and only heal if it is absolutely necessary. If it gets to close to the back door use an Ether if you must and have Basch perform Fumilating Darkness if you have it, which you really don't need.
You can't replace your character if they're sent to another dimension. If one is sent, then you only have two characters to use until you leave the area.
Quickenings are a big help if you have them with multiple characters and can chain them together.
Yeah, you can. Once thier name turns blue (they aren't being targeted.) Use the menu.Quote:

Cast reflect on your entire party so his status magic won't work. Plus his Blindga will render him so only his X-Zone and Doom attacks can hurt you.
Works like a charm.
I just used alot of quickenings in chain. It was easy, and as for being able to take a character out of you party thats be sent to the x-zone, it is allowed to be done.
xD That was my strat but it didn't work.
do you have to beat both of the demon walls?
No of course not, didn't you hear Vaan say fight or run we better decide fast, tell me you didn't try beating them both did you!?
no, i always tried to beat the one with the torches. I did switch rooms to heal, and when you switch rooms the demon wall heals itself.
lol, im not THAT bad of a noobie
... i dont think
Do you have Berserk?
I think you're supposed to run away, but if you have three level 3 mist abilities, you can kill it pretty easily when you use them all one after the other.
i jus attacked like crazy, only healed whit high potions when sumone was close to dien( thank god for potion lore) an used mist attacks when i had them. An those little things you can click to make him stop also help alot. Dont worry i got squished like 2 times before i finally beat him.:D
Not only does the first Demon Wall contain a heckuva lot more HP to it's health, but it moves way faster or else the hallway between it and the door are shorter than the mandatory one you have to fight.
I beat them both. Level one mists, and I only had two characters with mists, but I got a chain of 12.
I killed them both easily once I figured out how Quickenings actually work (my characters only had rank 1 Quickenings).
I saved the first one so I could come back later with a party that can beat Yazmat and show him who's boss :P
Only took me 6 tries, and leveling everybody up probably unnessasarily, but I finally beat the mandatory demon wall. I tried to get the optional one too, but did not succeed there. I'm going to try one more time, now that everyone has their quickening attacks. If I cannot beat him again, I am not going to bother anymore. XD

Well, I was level 25 when I did it.
yea, im only lvl 12-13 lol
so im trying to level up in the westersands.
umm...ya, you better,lol. you are wayyyyyy underleveled,lol!
this is definitely one of the few games that makes you level up. im actually suprised i made it as far from what i've read so far
guess i just got some mad gamer skillz:D
... you can slow it down with braziers? I just kicked them in. Berzerk on Vossler, chained quickenings (10000+ damage ftw!), beatdowns. Win.
i just quickened like crazy. chained like 20 of them.
Keep in mind you can get a really nice sword (the Demonsbane) if you do succeed in slaying the first optional Demon Wall. :cat:
The easiest way I have found to beat him was by casting berserk on Vossler, and my 2 other characters with the highest strength. (Don't forget that you can cast berserk on your guys when you are not in the battle yet.) This gives you time to give them all protects to. After that touch the save point that is outside, so all your MP will be restored. Then go fight him, without wasting time, cause the berserks, and protects will run out eventually. Then use the person without berserk on in your party to get Quickening chains going.
With that strategy you will have both walls destroyed without a problem.
Yeah, problem is X-Zone, I found it useful to switch in a weak character for my good one without a quickening. Make the weak one the leader. That way when the weakling is X-Zoned replace them with the strong one.
Also, I had 3 ethers. If you have any, after you use your Quickening, use it on whomever has the least MP, so it charges faster. Martyr, and Inquisitor help.
i suck at using quickenings. my biggest chain was like 5 in a row.
I can't chain my quickenings right but I did get him with a 7 hit.
Vaan: 14, Balthier: 16, Fran: 16, Basch: 15, Ashe: 16, Penelo: 17
I can beat the second one WAY easy but I can't beat the first one...what am I doing wrong? I want to beat the first one so I can get (SPOILER)the sword
Concentrate on the second demon wall and just keep attacking him.
