Am I the only one that knows Computer Science on this website?
I was just wondering because it is an excellent hobby...And it makes you feel nerdy *puts on glasses*!!!!!!

Give examples of what you can do .
Cool, I used to be interested in computer tech's and was average at it. but not anymore that was a while back, no long ago
Computer engineering > Computer science
Computer engineers can program quite well too and actually make the machines computer scientists need. :mwahaha:
I know that it exists and I could probably get by on a very limited basis, yes. But once you branch out into the more technical factors, I would probably have a more difficult time.
Your question is very broad.
computars let me surf the interwebs
i have no idea how to make anything remarkable happen with my comp and right now i can't play games without them crashing, can't even fix that hehehe
I know computer science and I'm going for computer engineering.
I am a CS guy. It's an excellent career as well as hobby.
Is anyone here COOL enough to tell me what this does? Someone better be, took me a half hour to write.
I know I've said this before, but a computer scientist is going to be a better programmer just because he spends all of his time devoted to it. There's plenty of crossover with engineering but engineers I've met have not been programmers, any more than I am an engineer. The guy who designs hammers isn't necessarily the guy you'd hire to build your house for you, and vice versa.Code:perl -le 'for(0..0xb271a1){++($}||=q|A|)}($;=q;"\x70\x72\x69\x6e\x74\x24\x7d";)=~s;.*;$&;eee'
Computer nerds on an internet message board... What a concept. xD
My husband is a computer science major. He'll have his BS in a year.
Noted.
I am in awe of you
You're asking if anybody knows Computer Science, on a forum about Final Fantasy?! I'm sure there is many.
Not me, though. :jess:
All I care is that they make sure the robots don't turn on us in a moment of self-awareness.
YOINK indeed.
I would agree in general. Even a highly educated computer engineer generally has less training and experience in programming than a computer scientist. I guess I'm just speaking more personally, as Cal Poly computer engineers are generally good programmers and end up taking most of the same core classes computer scienctists take. (in addition to a large number of their own hardware classes)Quote:
