Banana Question.

Devil Man has a question about Banana's.

What do oranges, plums, peaches, apples, strawberries, coconuts and many other fruits have in common? :confused:

They are all round shaped fruits! :eek:

But Banana's...

Banana's just have ta be different :mad2:

They are long and strange shape! They are different shape to all other fruits and Devil Man can not understand why :sad: :frust:

Strawberries are kind of triangular, in a weird way. And bananas are kind of rounded, but I guess not in the same way. I don't really know why they're shaped like that.

But there are other fruits in weird shapes. Like star fruit.

Jowy, have you ever eaten pineapples and strawberries together? Like, chop them up and let them sit together in the fridge overnight? Best fruit salad EVER. :D

My favorite fruit is probably banana. :greenie:

I've had banana trees, and if you don't pick bananas the MOMENT they become ripe, then they will already have so many bugs in them, the entire tree, that it will just be a horrible depressing nightmare.

So I pick bananas green (I also pick tomatoes green. ) and let them ripen off the tree in a place safe from bugs and other vermin and poachers.
(SPOILER)I also only farm organic, which is why these things can be such a problem

So my belief is that, when everything was shaping out to be what it would one day be, and all the fruits were a little banana shaped, curving into that semicircle which would one day compress itself and be a smaller circle etc, bananas were just so mobbed by bugs all the time that they just said, "You know what? Screw it!" *dies by mob of bugs*

My favorite fruit is either the plum or the tangerine. I'm free to decide.

Yes, the combination of strawberries and pineapples is just heavenly. Integrate a shortcake and whipped cream and by god that's one hell of a dessert.

I have no idea why they are that shape, but I don't like them anyway. :p

Perhaps it would change its shape if it were pluralized correctly like all the other fruits in your post!

Well first there was the phone, then there was the banana phone and now there is the banana. Thusly bananas are the shape they are because the originally evolved from phones.

anyways there's a lot of fruits that aren't round.

Bananas are the shape they are because they grow in clusters, similar to grapes but in fleur manner.

I don't know. It's sort of a question that has no real valid answer.

An interesting thing on the topic of bananas, however, is that in some ancient civilizations (early tropical tribes, for example) women were not allowed to eat bananas because of their resemblance to (I'm just going to come right out and say it) the phallus. Because of this resemblance it was seen as unholy and an insult if woman ate it.

It raises another question: "If there is a God, why did he choose to shape it this way, if it was to be interpreted in this fashion?" (Where's your Athiest's Worse Nightmare now, eh?)

I like a lot of fruit. Strawberries, rasberries, kiwis, apples, oranges, bananas, pomegranates... the list goes on. I don't really have a favourite.

I like anything citrus.

Bananas have suck a weird shape because bananas got blown by the wind a lot and started bending from the wind's force and it evolved into the shape it is today.

Personally, I love cherries. Very tasty.

Bananas are usually elongated because... Well I don't really know. There are so many bananas where I come from and nobody really cares much about how they came to life.

I like the Durian. It smells rotten according to some but I really can't get enough of that fleshy custardy fruit.

Banana pudding is the same shape as every other flavor of pudding!
