What Would Golbez's Weapon Be?

This thread is kind of inspired by the Golbez' Class Thread.

What weapon do you think Golbez would be able to equip if he could join your team?

I think he'd be able to equip Whips, Spears, and Rods.

I think it'd be kind of beneath Golbeza to attack someone directly. A guy of his stature is more about delegating to minions, casting spells, summoning Phantom Beasts, brainwashing heroes, and so on.

His weapon the random assortment of manipulated downfolk that he has run into the enemy and blow up.

Cid would be his strongest weapon, as blowing up doesn't get rid of him.

He probably does have a sword, but chances are it's for show. Besides, Golbez would rather blast you with magic or send one of his minions to do his dirty wrok.

i think a flaming sword would suit him.

or at least when he's evil in his crazy evil guy stance when you fight him. imagine him hovering like some crazy badass mage with a flaming sword.

or a big metal staff. wooden isn't evil enough.

I think a dark-themed short sword would suit Golbez quite well. Maybe something slightly similar to Riku's Soul Eater. Another cool weapon for Golbez would be the same that Magus uses: a scythe.

something demonic would definately fit in with his character.....but judging by his character he'd probably use a nasty looking dagger to go up close and personal for the kill...

Maces do not have iron balls anywhere near them. They are basically an advanced version of a club. You are talking about a flail. And then it would only be a flail if there was a chain and handle. And usually the morningstar (head) of a flail is spiked, not just a round iron ball.

I think this page gives you some clues about Golbez's weapon. When you fight him, he uses something called "Hold Gas". I think that's the name of his physical attack, and his weapon is called "Gas Cannon", "Artsy-Fartsy" or something like that. :p

Well, since he never physically attacks, we can never know, but he is too much of a black wizard to use anything other than a rod or dagger. The image of the dagger and up close and personal death, was something that I hadn't considered before, but it is a nice image that encompasses my minds eye when I see Golbez coming home after a hard day trying to open the gates for Zemus to find his wife in bed with Kain. *Stab, stab, slash* BeyoItch! Honestly though in daily life, I could see him wielding the non-existent Crystal Rod.
