Okay, I love RPG's, stragies are second, so tell me, what genre do you love?
RPGs are my favorite :jess:. After that I like Survival Horror games and then Action games. Ones with lots of blood and violence like God of War. God of War is yummy.
Wow, I'm afraid of gore, it's a phobia of mine and I get mocked for it! :p

RPGs > All other genres.
Some of my favorite RPG titles include FFVIII-FFX (soon to be FFXII :D ), FFTA, KH/2/CoM, among others.
I realized that this is a FF site, so this what pointless.
Fighters are several steps above everything else in my book. Then RPG's after of course.

After that it doesn't really matter.
I like RPG's only slightly more than the rest of my games.
Real Time Strategy games for great justice.
RPGs are my favorite, followed by action/adventure types like KH and Castlevania. I like strategy games, but I suck. A lot. Sports are pretty much at the botom of the list.

what does RPG stand for? sorry to sound thick but you always say RPGS it must be something to do with the battle system but what?

Probably RPG the most, but I like pretty much all of them - it depends on my mood.

considering this is an FF fan site, it's no surprise that RPGs are number one. I tend to prefer action battle RPGs of the likes of the Tales of.. series and Secret of Mana.

All depends on the game. If I had Oblivion 4, RPG would be my favorte, but right now its a tie between hack and slash and shooter.
Whenever I see this kinda topic I always immediately think OH YEAH RPGS, but the only ones I play really are Final Fantasy. And I really smurfing love survival horror. :heart: So I will say that.
RPGs then GTA action games. San Andreas is the best!

I own less than half a dozen Non-RPG games.
I own roughly 120 games.

They stole everything out of my storage unit (note: pretty much everything, as I was moving at the time). But the NES and the games were the only things related to the thread.
RPGs, of course! :cat: Though I'm not picky about any of the games I play. I also like platformers and Metroidvania too.

Hmmm this is hard for me, I play Counter Strike and Guild Wars xD Not many other games. I really only play Square RPGs.
Metroidvania stylized games and rhythm games.
I'm an arcade junkie so fighters and racers are my favourites.
I know there's other games at arcades but I've tried House of the Dead. I suck.

Where's the option for fighters? By far that's my favourite.
Everything else is pretty much tied for 2nd, I love 'em all. But Fighters is at the top.
At the moment, it seems RPGs are my favorite genre. I also like real-time strategy games, such as the Command & Conquer and Red Alert games. I also like some games that are a mix of different genders, such as action RPGs (KH series) or a mix of RPG and strategy (Final Fantasy Tactics, WarCraft III).
I can't believe I'm the only person who has voted for RTS games so far XD
Oooh and stealth games like MGS, et cetera... those are pretty good too.
Adventure games and Metroidvania games generally take up most of my time, but I have the most fun with Fighting Games, Racing Games, Party Games, and other multiplayer games. I'll choose Fighting for my favorite genre.
Well, I guess my favourite genre out of all of those is action, closely followed by RPG, followed by adventure (mostly the old Lucasarts adventures). I also like sims and strategy games.
I dont seem to find fighting on the list?
1.) Platformers: Klonoa, Mario, and the like...i dunno but ever since my first Mario game, i always enjoyed games like this. Its just a fun romp i guess. I enjoy Klonoa over the rest however, more because of his carefree nature, and good storyline for a platformer. Its just that feeling i get with those characters and music that makes me prefer it over the other platformers out there and wish that people would give it more a chance.
2.) Fighting: I play CvS2 competitively and i am interested in Third Strike and Guilty Gear XX Slash(and maybe Accent Core later when more stuff is found). Competition, and execution is key here, if you dont have a good comp, then its gonna suck....lucky JP people ><. The Mindgames and all the other stuff that comes with fighters keep me comming back.
3.) Adventure: Zelda, Okami, and the rest like them i call Adventure or Adventure RPG...these are so fun X3 Puzzles/etc...its not like a pure RPG with stats and stuff, but its just more freeform and less restricted to a battle system.
The rest are RPG, MMORPG, RTS, TBS(turn based), Simulation, and Plane shooters are huge runner ups. Only ones i dont like are pure sports games in general.
Adventure games plz.

I like all Genres, but RPGs is my favorite
It's a toss up between RPG and sports.
I like games that are infinitely replayable, every time you play is a different experience which also draws racing into that category
Shooters. Online pwnage with friends plz.

I love rpgs. I love how deep they are and I love exploring a world
Metroidvania, sandboxes, and RPGs are about the only games I play and the open exploration of sandbox games are my favorite.

After all, this IS an RPG site.
RPG's all the way. I've played D&D (tabletop) for about 5 years now. Next would have to be...fighters? I'm not sure what one would call it but basically the same style as Diablo. First person shooters just aren't my style; Doom never really interested me, but Halo was a bit better, mostly because of the AI. Strategy is ok, but gets really tedious.
Fighters, RPG's, and Rythm games are on my top list but honestly the only genres I don't care for are FPS, Racing, and Sports. I love everything else.
It has to be RPG's, Final Fantasy and "The Tales of ..." series are my favourite, then strategy, Fire Emblem, The Original Baldur's Gate. Then Shooters, Resident Evil and Metriod Prime.
