Letters to Lola
Anyone else think Cyan was a dick for letting her think her true love was alive, and then having the nerve of telling her, "Oh sorry, my bad. It's a time to rediscover your new life, although I selfishly prolonged your misery and broken heart. Later stranger. "

Maybe Cyan was kind of "lonely".

It kept both of them alive. Hard to criticise him for that.

People tend to do irrational things where their family is murdered and the world gets obliterated a week or so later.

Quite the Spoony Samurai, idn't-he? :)
But then, he reads up about machines and romance (one thing he's afraid of, one thing he misses). You gotta write what you know...

No, I don't think he's a dick. Whether or not both Cyan and Lola are living a lie, the world has gone to hell and it's the last bit of hope either one of them has left. He did more good than harm.
