Many of us have given this game a go at some point... but have you beaten Final Fantasy I? Which version/console? (For the purpose of keeping these simple, count any emulated games as the system they were first on.)

No - I have played it, but not beaten it.
To answer my own question; I have beaten it! It was the Dawn of Souls version on Game Boy Advance. :tonberry:
I beat the PSone version. Only played it once for the history lesson.
I've done it on a NES emulator and on Origins - PlayStation.
Been playing it on the NES since I was 4. Have beaten it there, on Origins, and on Dawn of Souls (on my honeymoon - FF in Hawaii!).
Contrary to what I said in the thread about cheating, I "finished" this game on NES emulator but I cheated. It was just too long/old/dull for my ps1 spoilt brain
I played the hell out of Origins but never long enough to actually beat it. Only beat two Final Fantasy games in my whole life. I am a sad panda T_T
The first time I played it on the NES I thought it was the most expansive game ever and it took me a good three weeks to learn and explore everything. Now I can cruise through it over the course of a day.
Why is there no option for both beating it on the original and beating a remake? I can't answer this poll :(
BUT IT'S SO HARD TO CHOOSE
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME
I first beat it on the PS1 remake, later on I got the original version on Virtual Console for the Wii and finally beat the NES version. I own a copy of the NES version but it is so old, it stops functioning properly after a certain point in the game.
