Welcome to the Ultimate Character Showdown Main Discussion Thread!

A place for overall tournament discussion (please keep specific character v. character chat to their individual threads!), predictions and also mainly for me to keep track of the competition as it goes on. I'll be updating this OP with links to the individual polls, posting winners/losers, and anything else of interest.

The polls will be posted at approximately 6pm GMT/2pm EST every day and they will be up for 24 hours. So make sure you get your votes in before they close!

We have about 2 hours until the first two polls will go up, so - who do you think is going to win? Who do you want to win?

There are still prizes up for grabs - again, participation nets you more entries as always, so get involved! As a reminder, the prize is any Steam game of your choice (or, as I worked out with fat_moogle, an Amazon gift voucher where Steam is not an option) up to a value of $30!

I'm pretty sure I didn't vote for Squall. Even when I used MissH's account for a second set of noms I convinced MissH to submit her favourites.

I agree that Vivi could win. If Squall wins I'm just going to be all like "...whatever" and stage a walk out.

You know of all the ffxiv characters im really surprised jinx didnt choose estinien. She has a.. thing... for Elezens.

About 7 hours left on the first set of polls from Round 1!

Vivi's gonna win, probably, which Im okay with. I'd love it if Squall did though since he's still the best protagonist in the entire series! #sorrynotsorry #neckbeardsrepresent!

As with any of these, I would like an unexpected entry to win.

But part of me is resigned to the fact that it won't happen and FF7 will be crowned Best FF game again.

So I've been doing some early tallies, and I can't help but notice that some people have only voted in one of the polls! There are two up at the moment, so make sure to check them both out!
