Eventually watched Saturday's episode. Not as bad as I was expecting, it was fairly enjoyable.
We'll see how long this lasts.
*will be a downer for the whole season*
I'll take BRIAN BLESSED (his name should always be spelled in all capitals) in whatever role they'll cast him in.
Notably it won't be his first appearance in the show. :monster:
Well, I wasn't really a fan of that episode. I hate kids.
The setting and whatnot was pretty cool though so it wasn't terrible. And I quite liked Matt Smith's speech. He's good at speeches.
Also, Davos. DAVOS. DAVOS SEAWORTH!
I thought it was quite a sweet episode. And the kid was fine, not overly saccharine or anything.
Still too much 'sonic screwdriver sorts out a situation' though!
Better than singing open a secret door. Come on.
Actually the more I think about it there were a lot of things I liked, I just didn't like the kid. :shobon: The creepy smurfers were pure nightmare fuel, well done to whoever conceived those.
The kid was adorable.
I really liked the setting. I thought it was super pretty.
Also, the Doctor needs to give Clara a damn key to the TARDIS.
ALSO--Apparently the book Amy wrote can be bought as an e-book. CLUES?
The penny just dropped. Shoes and ships and sealing wax, not ceiling wax as i always thought! Thank you Doctor Who!
So...
The TARDIS doesn't like her.
The end of the episode gave me feels for Clara and the Doctor.
And I do like the singing-the-door-open-ceremony stuff. It was pretty and majestic. The last song made a nice backdrop to the Doctor's speech.
AND LIAM CUNNINGHAM IN THE NEXT EPISODE.
Interesting to see positive reactions here, seemingly everywhere else I've seen online people HATED the episode. Such a poor reception puzzles me, I thought it was slight but there's been a lot worse since the show was resurrected.
I actually was surprised the doctor didnt sympaphise with the giant sun god.
The Weeping Angels sent Jorah back in time.
DID SOMEONE SEND DAVOS INTO THE FUTURE?
