Characters You Relate To
Pretty self-explanatory!
Vanessa Ives, Penny Dreadful
Mostly because of mental illness and loss of faith. Watching the scenes where she's in the asylum are brutal and resonate so deeply for me. The current season, where she's dealing with the backlash of losing her Christian faith...it's my story.
Liz Lemon, 30 Rock
I am disgusting. I like food. I am a geeky, awkward nerd who has no idea how to relate to to people.
Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Moon
I'm super dumb.
Hermione Granger, Harry Potter
I've always been a huge book worm and school geek (I know this might seem contrary to the above, but I'm book smart...not common sense smart) and people don't always seem to understand me. I'm also something of a bossy, natural leader.
What are some of your characters you identify with?
-
-
Twilight Sparkle because I'm a giant nerd.
And Merrill from DA2 because I'm smol and clueless.
-
I deliberated it for a while, but couldn't think of any characters I actually relate to on a personal level. So, none, I guess. That's a little depressing.
-
Any mute character. When people are talking to me, I just make weird faces and nod occasionally.

I feel like I relate a lot to Meredith from Grey's Anatomy. I am very prone to being miserable and switching from misery to happiness at the drop of a hat. I'm also pretty honest and I'm starting to take less crap from people/care about opinions the older I get. I also have an ugly cry face that comes out a lot. Sometimes I like being miserable, I love love love being on my own. I'm also a hypocrite and don't take the advice I give to others. Like, I can be stuck up and stand-offish but when you're in my circle you're in, and I'm also pretty accepting.
Most of these things aren't great but I accept that this is who I am. I'm a wishy washy stormy miserable snob person. But I can also be really, really loyal and kind.

I also relate to April Ludgate because all of these are in fact, me.

Fez, Sayid Jarrah, David Rosen, Saul Goodman

Not really on par with the rest of the thread but I re-read a bit of the first harry potter and I remember as a child empathising with Dudley when he was annoyed at missing his favourite tv show. I loved my tv and at a time when if you didn't see something when it came on tv then you didn't get to see it at all I also would have been deeply annoyed much like if a chapter was ripped out of a book.
-
Hibari from Senran Kagura. I can relate on a very deep level to "big butt go boom"
-
Mindy Kaling in The Mindy Project.
-
-
Yuna for her religious upbringing and kind nature, also how she came out of her shell in X-2.
Hotaru Tomoe from Sailor Moon for the fact she's a shut-in largely due to health issues.
Usagi from Sailor Moon for pretty much most of her personality.
Clark Kent because I am a boyscout.
