zone of the enders games rock
I hear titanfall 2 is good
Super Robot Wars is a big one for me, with the large lineup each game has there's always bound to be mechs you like in it, with its own unique attacks and battle themes, and some of the cross-overs make for interesting stories as well (plus it's just neat seeing banter between the crossovers too)
The Xeno games are another, particularly Xenogears and Xenoblade X (with Xenosaga having the mecha aspect but not really being one of my favorites, while Xenoblade 1 and 2 are good but more lacking in the mecha aspect). Looking purely at the mecha aspect, Xenoblade X is the most interesting one here since there's a lot of customization in the mechs and getting the mechs completely changes how you see the world and traverse it as well.
Honestly beyond that it's mostly games I either don't like much (Another Century Episode for example, wasn't a fan of the gameplay) or I do like them but the mecha aspect is either a minor part or even a negative part of the experience (Titanfall 2 for example, I love for the on-foot gameplay rather than the actual titans :p )
Anything Xeno yes!
The Xeno franchises are high points for me.
Xenogears gives me that Super Robot love while Saga has more of a real robot thing going in the first game and then jumps back into super robot territory for the sequels.
Front Mission is another I appreciate for being a fairly great real robot series. Vanguard Bandits was also pretty nifty but could have been a bit better with it's core gameplay.
Armored Core is great for fans looking for something more action pack but still love that heavy customization and twinking.
Mehcwarrior/Battletech is a great franchise too though I've yet to find an entry beyond the old PC games I grew up on that scratched the particular itch I have with the genre. MechCommander does come pretty close though.
Future Cop: LAPD was the most underrated game on the PS1, arguably created the MOBA genre, and was from a time when Electronic Arts wasn't, well, EA.
that one was fun
Not a mecha series per se, but certainly a robot game. Robotrek, which is an RPG where your party is composed of the robots you build.
I love Xenogears, but as a general rule, no. In fact, I was initially uninterested in Xenogears based on the giant mecha concept. It doesn't really do anything for me. Also, all other Xeno games are trash (this is not because of giant robots).
same lol
MS Saga: A New Dawn
It's basically "Final Fantasy Gundam" and people slept on it. Turn based RPG.

You can customize individual parts on your Gundam.

Also, talk to relatable NPCs.

I'm still sad that Xenosaga couldn't muster enough support for Namco-Bandai to give the series an HD remaster. Hell just releasing the games on digital stores would be appreciated at this point since it's a pain for some people to even access the games anymore. I still find it to be an underrated series.
