Pick your poison.
iOS these days.
I was an Android user for roughly 7 years, but since switching over to iPhone I don't think I'll go back. While I don't mind weighing up components when it comes to a PC, I prefer the simplicity of knowing what I'm getting with an iPhone, and I won't have to go through the hassle of removing bloatware etc like I did with my old Samsung Android devices.
Android - but I've only had Oneplus One and it comes clean of huge amounts of said bloatware Aulayna mentions, based on what I've been told.
I really, really, really dislike Apple and the way they operate in a technical sense and a business sense. I'm not a Google fanboy by any stretch but they are certainly the lesser evil of the options so far. I'd try a Windows Phone, but not pay for one to do so.
Android. I understand it best and honestly, I won't get an iDevice merely because of how trout their customer service is and the marketing of extra add-ons to do normal smurfing stuff. Like the headphones thing. Like you can't repair it unless you send it to a very specific apple repair blah blah. Yeah not a fan. Wont support that predatory business stuff.
Android.
My phone is an Android, so I'm use to it. My only experience with iOS is Shopkeep at work and I've never used Windows Mobile (I forgot it was a thing).
iOS turns me off mainly because Apple has to have their own everything. I can't use any set of headphones or charger for it. It has to be theirs.
iOS. Simple and clean.
And Darth Ganon - I have no problem using my own headphones or 3rd party chargers with my iPhone, so I don't know what you're talking about
Maybe that's more common where you are due to different patent laws but I rarely see anything that'll work here in the US
Even if that is the case, all iPhones up until 7 still use a regular ass jack port for headphones.
Oh dear now I have to ban you for posting pornography.
You never go jack to ears.
Yeah I use 3rd party headphones on my iPhone 6S just fine. Heck I lost the actual charging cable ages ago on a trip and have been using a cheap knock-off cable I got off of Amazon and it works perfectly fine. Never had an issue with their support either, though I only ever had to contact them once. And this was French support too, a country where customer service isn't valued very highly at all.
I've had my 6S 2 years now, I haven't had to factory reset it once in that time - it still runs smoothly and fast. My old Galaxy S3 would be running as slow as a snail after a year due to bad memory usage by some of the bloatware and eventually I'd have to factory reset it to get it running like new again. Plus the battery life on my S3 degraded rapidly over time. I'm having similar issues with my Galaxy tablet too.
Honestly, my only gripe with Apple mobile devices is the unit being (mostly) closed, so can't upgrade the storage. As I only opted for a 16gb model (because I didn't really appreciate how much I'd be using the camera), I run out of storage pretty often.
Maybe my experience of Android was tainted by the fact all my Android devices were Samsung and always had problems, and even though I spent longer in the Android ecosystem, I really can't see myself going back at this point in time.
I super super SUPER hate Google but I hate Apple like, a tiny squidgen more, so Android it is.
Windows Phone is like the Sega Saturn of phones, so it doesn't count.
That's really not a fair thing to say about the Sega Saturn.
