I am partial to Psy (for being a reliable tank), Pumpkin (day black magic) and Scruff (stealing stuff!), but honestly, I've used everybody and everyone is useful. I take you, Nutty, if I want to end the fight quick because hot damn, that damage
Nutty's oil field thing-a-ma-jiggy limit is the bees knees.
God Tier: Bubba, Bubba + Anyone
High Tier: Fox, Nut, Psychotic + Fynn
Mid Tier: Psychotic, Formalhaut, Freya, Shauna (with Limit), Pumpkin (with Limit)
Low Tier: Shauna (without Limit), Pumpkin without Limit, Fynn when he does what he is best at: Nothing
Formy is actually a killing machine when used right
Fynn is crazy useful in later fights when you need to big heal someone every single turn. His Dispel or Esuna can be really useful too.

For damage, I rotate Freya, Fox, and Nut, depending on the enemy's weakness. I got a Freya's Spear in one of my early weapon crates and she's been a beast ever since. I've used Shauna and Pumpkin in certain fights needing heavy elemental damage. I have not really used Scruff or Formal.
I've actually come to the conclusion that I can never find s use for Fox. There's always someone who does whatever I need him to do - better ;)
Fox is fantastic in that one boss weak to dark. Sephex maybe? Lifesiphon + Darkga + his limit break is also fun to spam. The Doom status never gets me because I win the battle well before it kicks in.
I pretty much stuck to Psychotic, Pumpkin, Nut, Freya, and Shauna for most of the game. Formy is the only character I didn't really bother with for some reason, and I used Fox, Bubba, and Fynn in specific situations. I have not spent enough time with myself to figure out how I feel he'll work in the team dynamic. I sadly feel he may suffer from latecomer syndrome where he arrives so late that it's hard for the player to mix up what they feel is a fine tuned party build. We'll see, I still have a bunch of the optional bosses to deal with in the post game. :wcanoe:
Ive never used Fox or Scruffington so far, but everyone else gets switched out pretty regularly. I just can't seem to find a purpose for the two I don't use.
Alway have Psy in the team. That bald head makes my day anytime. :bigsmile:
