Eoff Sidequest/Mini-game Contest 2019: Round 8

Round 8 is here.

Snowboarding: VII gives us the exhilarating snowboarding minigame which was surprisingly robust for it's time, offering three distinct tracks with a normal stage, time attack mode, and even a race mode. It was also cool that it allowed you to play with other party members besides Cloud. While it only netted you some GP, the game honestly has enough quality to be considered one of the best minigames available in VII.

Chocobo Hot n' Cold: Just you, a chocobo, and a treasure seeking Moogle. A two part minigame where you first have to visit the various grottos and dig up treasure maps with Boko, only to set him on a path to Chcocobo nirvana as he evolves and expands his moveset. The maps lead to better treasures and better Grottoes and eventually it accumulates in visiting Chocobo Paradise and getting a chance to square off with Ozma itself. Did I mention its'a all played to some of the best tracks in IX?

It's difficult to choose between these two but I chose Chocobo Hot n' Cold!

Hot 'n' Cold is smurfing fantastic.

Snowboarding is okay. I don't hate it. Lack of music makes it very odd, though.

Snowboarding is fun, but chocobo hot n cold is the best FF mini-game.

I concur with the two posts above this. Chocobo Hot & Cold is great.

Chocobo Hot and Cold is awesome. Except for that one that's just a picture of the ocean.

I wish the snowboarding was better. I did like it though. Loved hot and cold for a few hours. I wish chocographs came up more often. It was a little too random for my liking - I just couldn't play it 10000000x again and again waiting for something.

LAte though i may have been, i definately would have voted Hot n Cold. its simultaneously one of my favourite and most hated minigames at the same time for some reason
