Do Admin nominations still count for double?
Loony BoB please explain the concept of sliding up the number of nominations needed to be a nominee in order to keep the total number of nominees down so that people aren't voting on a list of 30 candidates. It seems there's a little bit of confusion and ultimately it's only going to cause undue stress to our darling Award Princess.
Let me also explain what I was confused about in case it's still causing people confusion too. In some previous Ciddies, the votes for Best Member weren't just "pick your winner" but rather a "pick your first, second, and third best member". It's unsurprising that some Americans might find this hard to understand as they use first past the post voting in their political elections, unlike the rest of the sane world that uses preferential.* However, that's not happening and that's fine. Sorry to accidentally start a bunch of trout.
Lastly: the Fat Chocobos are as much a part of EoFF as any other. They were asked to register at Eyes on Final Fantasy in order to be affiliated with the Fat Chocobos because Loony BoB is an intelligent man who knows how to bring people together. They are entitled to nominate and vote just the same as any other member, and I think discussions surrounding their inclusion serve only to imply that they are not "real" members and that kind of reinforces that nice talk everyone had about cliques at EoFF.
Please flame me all you like but this is a smurfing internet popularity contest and I think everybody needs to chill out. Award Princess has taken this stressful role and bickering like this just makes it less enjoyable for her. Let's appreciate the hard work she's done so far and try to support her as best we can. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what happens so long as we have fun.

The one with most votes = best member
Female with top votes who isn't best member will be best female
Male who isnt best member with top votes will be best male!

In light of all this discussion, I'd just like to apologise whole-heartedly for any confusion, or unhappiness anyone has had so far with the running of the Ciddies.
This is my first time running it, and all I wanted was to make it awesome for you guys. So if anyone is not happy with it, then I am so sorry :(
I am going to do my best to ensure this week is awesome, full of Ciddies nonsense so you all can have the best time with it as you all possibly can! So make sure you get involved and have fun! At the end of the day it's a fun little silly award ceremony and we shouldn't take it too seriously - it's a way to look back on the last 6 months of EoFF. So let's see what we can do with it! :D
Also, to the FFXIV nominees, we are DYING to meet you guys! And I hope you enjoy this EoFF tradition as much as we all do, and maybe stick around a lot more!
